Aight, so Im moving up to Laramie tomorrow for college, and while we still have a few months before the lifts start spinning I was wondering what the skiing scene is like up there if any of you know?
yo, the scene up here is pretty small. Snowy Range Ski Area is the local hill; nothing very steep but its got fun bump runs, pretty good park jumps depending on the year and tons of sidehits. BC scene isn't huge either but theres tons of access to dope sub-alpine skiing in the winter. Best thing Laramie has to offer is probably all the lines to ski off of Medicine Bow and the surrounding peaks in the spring and summer; tons of coulies.
That said we're about 1:45 from winter park and 2:00 from steamboat. Cameron Pass is close too (might be some new zones with all the burned area.)
