Backyard rail jam?

So I don't really know the legal issues with this but we can save that for later. I have a pretty dope backyard set up in north nj with a full snowmaking fleet I've built over the years. It's small and usually can only have like 2-5 features at a time but if there are enough people on this forum from the area I'd be down to host a rail jam of some sort. All I need is one real cold weekend in November to get a solid 1 foot base across my yard. So if anyone's from the area and would be down for something like this lmk.

Honestly the legal side of it isn't that tough you really just need like one certified EMT on the scene and to draft up waivers so people cant sue if they get hurt. We tried to do a rail jam a philanthropy for my frat in Idaho but the school shut us down. The cops and EMTs were totally chill and thought it was a great idea tho.

I think this would be covered under homeowners insurance.

Doubt anyone would bother suing a individual, this ain’t Vail.

Just get waivers signed if you’re really worried.

Any tips of a dry land setup? My roommates and I want to make a setup at our place in Huntington Beach, CA (70 year round no snow).

Nice offer for you to make, hopefully you get a nice jam going!

There are a couple threads about this floating around somewhere, basically you’d want to use Astro turf or carpet as your base material and put soap and water on it to make it slick.

I've never built one but from what I've heard if you can build some sort of drop in and a rail all you really need is some wet indoor/outdoor carpet, lattice fence, or if you're going all in, synthetic snow like neveplast is really good.

Vinyl fencing is helpful. I have a build of mine somewhere in my threads

You should talk to the guy who owns park1260. It’s based out of his back yard. He’s at the bottom of Blue Mountain. He’s pretty chill. I’m sure he’d be willing to help you out. He’s on here too.

For those of you asking abt the set up.

Havn’t set up a whole lot yet, putting more in td, but we got a 15 foot pipe to a 12 foot double barrel and a pretty big kicker off to the right going over the brick wall. Blowing snow for the landing of the jump rn.
