thalls are prolly 1 of the worst skis for pei.... i mean... lots of ice there and thalls are factory de-tuned (edges) under the foot for rail sliding....

I'd have to say the line profits or k2 madens are the worst ski for PEI. At least the Thalls have a waist way above 130

I've got my madtrix. wicked ski for just about anything, But do you think i should de tune my edges for railing, will that help, and how do i do it.

If you do rails and you buy new skis...you basically take a file and FILE down the edges underneath the boots. Unless you just got your edges done, don't worry about it, cause they'll be worn down. And even if you don't want to take a file to your brand new skis (top coat skiers suck) then just suck it up for like three days on the hill and they will be worn in. That feature on the Thalls is pretty interesting, but I think it really doesn't add much, but it does take away lots...edges (or atleast semi-edges) are important if you'r planning on doing anything but straight lining.
As far as THalls being a bad choice for a pei park...are you guys nuts? I don't care if it's sheet metal he's skiing on, THalls are a solid park ski, just like ANY other twin...it's not a BAD choice, it's a preference.

a few people out west here that have already gotten a fair # of days on their t-halls say the only thing they can't don on them is ski to the park..hahaha, but really, they have no edge hold on anything that isn't fluff, no edge underfoot, and noodle tips and tails... I hope you are practising your floating

the thalls will be fine, don't listen to them people...i skied on skiis for a year on ice with 100% fuct edges, JJ skied on lines with no edges for god sake........they'll be fine......

ya on my ar5s last year, all in the middle there are no edges left, all i do is rails anyway, im not about to go race in the olimpics or something, and i used the thalls the oter day, i love them, i can tail and nose slide easy as fuck
