As stated in other posts. Johnny and I are both back looking after the parks again for our second year. There are lights going in the Ski Out Park in front of the Lodge which will hopefully be installed in the next week or so. We laid new snowmaking pipe through the Ski Out Park and the hydrants should be finished up in the next couple of days. This will enable us to run more guns at a time in the park which should mean an earlier opening date for the park.
We plan to run both parks this year but it is dependant on mother nature and snowmaking, so we will concentrate on one and then move to the second. It's been a couple years since there has been anything in the Flume Park which is a shame because it's got a lot of potential.
We are going to shake things around a bit this year. We are going to offer more small - medium elements which seemed to be more popular last year. Not that we are doing away with the big jumps, but we need more stuff for people to learn on. The plan will be to make the park more flowy. If we have the time we may even open a kids park with small berms, rollers and maybe a small box. Our plan is also to build three more rails (not confirmed yet) which will put us up to 12 rails & boxes. As for comps, Johnny is finishing up the schedule and I should have something to post shortly.
Last but not least, now is the time to throw your ideas at us, not when we are in the groomer so lets here em! Drop me an email info@crabbemountain.com

the only reason the smaller features are more popular at the hills around here are because a lot of the time the larger features are very sketchy or even unsafe.

this is true, parks here are sketch...instead of thinkin about three parks just think about making quality, maintaining it, and changing feature location through the year. (im not pointing the finger at Crabbe - i havent been there for 2 yrs.)
why not make the one large table with a maintainance schedule so the dedicated freeskiers and riders can plan to be at the hill for those sessions...
the small tables can be maintained on need to be done basis...
rails need to be set with more snow and care to result in ease of use...

Crabbe is going to be insane this winter, i cant wait to get out there again, one sujestion would be backing up one of the other sujestions already made, just to make the bigger jumps more smooth like butter, And J if you guys ever need help in the park you can look to the local freaks. Robichaud only lives a few km away. Peace

Sounds good, a buddy of mine and I set up a rail to picknic table to pbc pipe on my front lawn last night, it was nuts considering there is grass sticking through the snow, I cant wait until the mountain opens.
