So I'm starting to plan a little earlier this year for the event. last year's was awesome despite the fog and mushy snow ... besides, we had penty of tunes, good vibes, prizes and a whole bunch of fertilizer.
The event will be near the end of the season at DEVIL'S GLEN again this year - because its a pvt club this will probably be your only chance to ride there unless you know members.
We have a down kink, a long shotgun, rainbow box, battleship - a big huge ol' booter, a cbox (don't count on it being moved for the comp), a couple of press boxes AND I'm working on getting (5) 1'x 12' boxes - during the season I'll have those boxes set up as follows, an up to gap to down set, a step down set and a rogue box I can move wherever i want.
Now, here comes the fun part ... everyone drove up early last year and we tore the park apart and rebuilt it how the competitors wanted. Considering we have more hardware this year I want to have an idea of how we're gonna set it up b4 all the competitors arrive so we can make sure we have it done by around lunch.
Ask anyone that was there last year, half the fun is building the stuff up ... the other is hucking yoru ass off .... I'm also trying adjust and refine the judging system to make it fair to everyone.
Big bonuses go to stupid ass crashes and VARIETY in your runs ... try new shit even if you don't nail it, we all appreciate it.
Don't forget to start collecting your fave tunes for the day.
Shit I wrote a lot, so thats enough for now - but start posting ... especially those who are familiar with the terrain ... when the hill opens up I'll start taking pics and we can go from there ...
