yea, so I was reading the local paper (go Creemore Echo!) the other day and it talked about the Eastern Couger (or the puma, or eastern panther, or mountain lion, it has many names) and how it's been sighted a few times in recent months around the Creemore area. so I checked into it more because I couldn't believe that a Couger would still be living in southern Ontario.
Turns out that there are actually many (not tons, they almost went extinct, they're currently on the endangered list) of these large cats on the east coast from South Carolina all the way up to New Brunswick and Manitoba...
I think it's pretty cool that a large cat like that can still exsist in such a densly populated area and stay relativly untalked about.
GO PUMAS! from grade 4 to 6 the puma was my schools mascot. horray!
