Replying to open up and comment please
its half way through the year and heres where we stand gentlemen. this is not to insult people that ride or build parks, cause im suppose to be building the park i want, but things happen slow. this list good and bad about parks ive skied in the east up to this point, and any comments to improve things should be mentioned. if we want great parks and pipes we need to communicate:
Martock
park is only 3 features. the jump is under sized and would pass for a learning table. the tranny is much too small and maintainance is a most with the undersize landing area. the box is a great feature and allows quick progression on rail principals, yet tranny problems occur again. the down rail is short, yet again gives people a chance to feel the differenc between straight and down rails. park built mid jan. a month of overdue. no difficult features.
Wentworth
lots of features. stuff is set up well and aggressive. lots of progression to be had. smooth lines are easy to come by. complainers should look at their skills before they open their mouths. lower skill levels can enjoy only few features and no tables. the table is narrow and short. even with a lack of shizzle the table handles abuse and is offering a solid landing. little maintainance on rails and can be sketchy, yet hands down the most progressive park in the atlantic. good early start, even with shit weather. big park by early jan. many features are worth sessioning all day by themselves.
Poley
lots of features on the hill. maybe too many as the constrution of all features and pipe have to be questioned. is quality better that quantity?? the park offers possible lines, yet doesnt allow a diffeicult and easy line. instead a mixture of either. why not have a diificult rail side by side to and easy talbe and vise versa. the pipe is much under vert and only allows small air and lip tricks. big hit talbe lacks any kind of tranny. two tables in the park are good kickers with good trannys yet narro. good tables though. all this and poley still offers the most features. i counted five tables 2 boxes 4 rails and 1 pipe. nothing worth sessioning hard though. good hill and tons of potential. oh ya -- park lift..sweet.
ben eion
no rails...huge factor missing. 2 jumps not tables and a hip. the jumps are step downs that are willing to give air. pipe is undervert in most spots, yet has potential. ben offers more than you may first think, but the air lip on whisky jack is the most appealing feature on the hill.
Marble
dont ski marble for park or pipe. the hill is a gem with shit loads of snow and steeps. trees are hard to find. no tables up to this point, rails and boxes are hagered setups and stick. pipe is undervert big time, yet will impprove.
crabbe, brookvale pei, smokey cape breton, white hills nfld. and sugarloaf not skied. any comments on them?
well its half way through, and we see lots of room for improvement, yet some highlights like wentworths invitation to progress. remember to voice your opinions in a mature way. people will listen.
