winter predictions

any word on what this winter is suposed to bring for us? (mainly southern ontario). This summer has been very hot, humid (but hardly any rain at all), and yea... so that means that the great lakes are really warm... anyone know what this winter is gonna be like? I'm hoping for a cold snowy winter (but a dry snowy so it's all puffy pow in ontario). GO ONTARIO POW! anyone else think this will be the result, or are we in for another terrible winter?

we are in for another terrible winter because global warming is getting worse and no one is doing anthing to stop it.

Im not a meteorologist so I cant make any predictions. Anyhow it doesnt look to good for CO, its very probable that they wont be able to make snow, which means no skiing for a while. It hasnt rained much at all either (which is why the state is always on fire). Hopefully all that rain will dump in Dec/Jan/Feb and March, but who knows, with global warming and all this shit.

I forgot, CO might add more 'cloud seeders' into the mix this year, especially near ski areas like vail and such. I guess when they tried it before it increased snowfall by %10.

The winter is gonna be sick dudes. And you got it all wrong. Global warming is melting the Ice caps. Which meand more usable water which in turn means more snow. The prime snow condidtions are between -5 and -15 degrees calcius. Knock on wood don't want ot jynx myself, but a dry summer usually leads to a wet winter. I am sick of seeing grass all year. Its time for another huge dump. Anyone agree?

I do, its gonna be great, last to years were pretty mediocre in the 4 colorado, utah and new mexico, it can be better, it will be, and iff not, they just put in a new snow line along the park in new mexico!

I read something about this being an El Nino year. Maybe that'll give us some snow. Or it'll be crappy.

yea, i think it will just be an average winter t his year on the east coast.










theres a natural mystic flowing through the air if you listen carefully now you will hear. its the first trumpet calling. might as well be the last. many more will have to suffer many more will have to die dont ask me why. things are not the way they used to be.

I live in Michigan and we had a pretty shitty winter. I think this year year will be better though. I have read up on some of these weather paterns and we should be ok.

ya i was watching something on the discovery channel aboot global warming and they said along with the hotter summers will some colder and more fierce winters. so i hope they were right.

yea, i read discover mag. (cause im a fuckin loser) and they were talking about how global warming makes the ice caps melt. the cold, fresh water goes south and if this happens enough, it could fuck up the gulfstream (which keeps the eastern US and europe warm). so like in a decade we may have a 'mini ice age'. amazing.

the atlantic current keeps europe warm, so they might get cooler, but most everywhere else will get warmer. there'll be more evaporation which means more precip in most places, but higher snow levels and a shorter season

This winter is going to be sick. Tons of snow in Ontario, I just know it. Early opening and late closing in Ontario, garunteed.
I'll garuntee that. You just wait, ON is going to be huge this winter.

I sure hope Eastern Ontario & Western Quebec gets dumped on this year. Someone could check a farmer's almanac or something. That stuff is bogus anyway though.

i know a guy who said we're gonna have a good winter b/c the bees are making their nests higher than normal this summer??? he said last summer they were practically on the ground.
