word is that Simon was towed in at 55mph and went at least 200ft on a 85ft table in Park City and he is fine.

why wouldnt he hit a 200ft jump instead of overshooting a table by 115ft? but then again it is dumont so it may have happened.

like, i once read about a sowboarder who cam off 165 foot on a 85 footer.. and he were laying in koma for severeal weeks and where not expected to live.... apparently he woke up and is now a pr or sumthing..

Did he transfer to another table? Or did he just overshoot and land on the flat over 100 feet past the jump at 50+ mph, because if it wasn't a gap then I'm with the other people in calling bullshit.

You know one time I got towed at like 120mph and I over shot a 20 ft gap by like 380ft.
but I got up and walked away from that.
I was only like 60 feet in the air.
I think this could totaly happen.

Mine is a little more exatrated but man that is not possible.

there coulda been a steep slope after the jump. but i still dont see how 55mph can get your 200 feet. lip had to have been at a perfect 60 degree angle and you had to have popped like a mother fucker

on the front page of ns when they were talking about tanner halls crash.. he was getting towed in at 55 into a big ass kicker on chads gap and he came up slightly short and that gap is only 115

Stop the rumors. Although funny they don't help anyone. I was not there but Simon did over shoot a jump at Park City and was knocked out, he was taken to the hospital to be checked out. This info is reliable.

heres more reliable info. simon obvershot a jump by about 80 feet and did pretty much the same thing that wilson did on his injury. simon ruptured his spleen an is a hospital in the intensive care unit. simon was in parkcity for a photoshoot

it was on the backside of Park City from what I heard, they built some gap over some old mining shit.

estimated total distance of flight was like 200 feet.

first Tanner, now Simon.

How the hell do you overshoot a jump by 80-100 feet? Maybe its time these photographers start employing some physicists if they are that far off...An 80ft gap over old mining stuff does sounds pretty sick though...

You can easily overshoot a jump that far depending on how well the lip is built. I'll find out tomorrow if it is true or not. One of our teachers is good friends with his family so she will know.

the takeoff is next to the bonanza lift maze and landing is down by the old mine building. 80-90 foot gap. he overshot with from what I was told less than 20 feet left until flat, which is huge.

I saw the gap prior to it being finished...the landing was steep enough that an overshoot of that magnitude was definately possible.

Also, to whoever said that they TOWED tanner into chads....are you serious??? where in hell did you here that bs?
