Did I learn rails the wrong way?

I naturally spin to the left. I also slide rails by turning to the left, with my right foot forward. Is this the opposite of most everybody else? this makes switch ons difficult as I have to turn to the right and 270 would be pretty impossible. does sliding right foot forwaard also make spins off the rail more difficult (spinning to left)? is that darkside or blindside or something? It seems trying to switch to left foot forward would make rail variations easier to learn, is that the case?

S'all Preference negro. Just learn how to spin on/off to the right..... Makes you look cool. Or dont spin, on the rail, off the rail, dont come on backwards, dont come off backwards. Just come on forwards looking as cool as you possibly can, then come off forward and make it look like you barely even had to turn to come off the rail. hen ride away looking as cool as you possibly can. Works for me.

When not on skis, just jump around and spin unnatural, I do it in my house all the time because touching the floor that doesn't have carpet is actually LAVA! It worked for me and it can work for you too!

it seems like this stage of life for a lot of people around our age is like when you are playing a video game and you beat the Final Boss, only to find out that was just a decoy Final Boss and the real Final Boss is about 50x harder. and on top of that, you used all your special tricks to beat the Decoy, and you are also low on life. and you have a crappy third party controller.

thats how most people spin and grind naturally. i spin left and grind left foot forward. that screws you up for most things if you want to stay natural. try switch 270s on, it will come quickly because they are easy to spot and quicker ahtn a 270 on to rotate. i find grinding unnatural easier when i spin to it.

I'm pretty sure most people spin left, hence it being called natural. Same with sliding right foot forward, but there are lots of people that slide left forward so...

I Spin right and slide Right foot first (natural for me). But since I turn right, I just had to get used to watch over my right shoulder when Im ridn switch, then switch ups r 'easy'. and 270, since I spin right, I land natural (right foot first). So its no problem for me, althought I always get worried when I watch videos and I see that everybody is spinning left when I spin right, and slide left first when Im right first. On skate Im a strange goofy, I ride with my left on the tail, but I use my right foot (the one that is on the nose) to (I don't know how is it called in english) run with the board...
So I just think that we r strange goofys, thats all, don't try to imitate the pros, just do the things the way that you feel its natural to you... and then learn to do the same both ways hehe

i'm the same but I have learned to slide unnatural so it isn't a problem, as for switch ons, you just need to get used to it, its not so bad just keep working.

you should be able to spin 90 and 270 either way, those are tiny rotations. like someone said, stand in you living room or yard or somewhere, and just practice spinning the other way. it just takes practice man, rails are fucking easy.
