blingbling: Deceased March 9th 2005

Its been winding down, but for me the death of the term blingbling came today at a family dinner (for my birthday, woot). during dinner conversation my awesome grandmother (age 81) referred to her earings as her 'blingbling' several times. it was hilarious, but the phrase has now been officially removed from popular culture.

That's so awesome...I took a Linguistics class last year at my university, and the professor was this real old guy, and he was talking about new additions to the dictionary lately such as 'bling' and 'bootylicious'..it sounded so funny coming from him.

the term is far from dead. If anything it will be alive and vibrant with in the nursing homes of north america. Its just not as cool as it was before since old people are doing it. (and the goevernment wonders how to stop drug use in teens...)
