Mini's durable?

I was thinking of getting an i-pod 20 gig but i was checking out my buddy’s mini and noticed it has a steel case so i thought it might be more durable for skiing and such. Any thoughts?

I have a mini, and it's pretty durable but I still have a silicon case for it, so it won't scratch.

/\ yeah same deal here. they're solid and you can get many different thickness silicone cases for em, give em some padding and stop the scratches
