Hey, Just got my first twin tips but im not sure if tuning and waxing should be done differently then other types of skis

well for freestyle because your doing rails ur gonna have to get ur skis waxed more often then normal skiing

ok..thats no problem cause i hot wax them myself...is that the only real difference

ya im a racer so i no use whatever kind of wax but i would suggest the cheapest and when your sharpining use a 1 degree on your edges for rails

yea exactly..i used to race but i probably dont have to worry about getting the right wax for temperatures anymore...i think an all around wall will be good

it odesn't really matter how muach you put on, eventually it will come off... if you don't want to file your edges, then hit a few rails and it will happen for you

Just make sure you use some EXTREAM wax and only sharpen with the coolest of sharpeners

heres the trick

3 degree base bevel under your boots and detune them with a gummy stone or a diamond file. 1 degree everywhere else. thats the best thing you can do for your edges oon rails and you wont catch.

just wax often and also, think about getting a do it yourself edge tuner to get rid of the burr that you get from doing rails and stuff.
