Hi,
I'm a New Zealand student who is comming over to canada to work this comming winter. I haven't really decided where I wan't to go yet, though it will almost certainly be in BC or Alberta. It would be great to here some of your opinions on some mountains in that are that are good to work at.
Cheers.

I've worked at a couple..
Banff/lake louise - K, if you work at lake louise you're stuck either living in staff accom, or commuting an hour everyday from banff. So sunshine or norquay would be a good call. I worked at sunshine and i thought it was great. The terrain isn't terribly challenging, with the exception of delirium dive which is sick. Sunshines park was pretty weak from what i've heard, but norquays is sweet. Working at any of the resorts gives you a 14 mountain pass to area mountains in alberta, bc and montana. Banff is pretty much a party town, TONNES of tourists, couple good dance clubs and some pretty chill pubs.
Fernie: I love fernie. The park is deece, the mountain is sick and there's easy access to the backcountry. There's less of a party scene, but it's still pretty good. Most people are there to ride. Next year there will be a pretty big group of skiers so it should be rad. The mountain offers the same 14 mountain pass. I'd pick fernie over banff.

Cheers man, Fernie is one of the fields that I have been looking at. I have heard it has really awesome snow. Anyone else got any advice?

Yeah you are quite right a field is short for ski field. No we don't have any trees over here. Also only big fancy areas try to call themselves resorts, most of our stuff isn'nt hugely developed. Advice still appreciated :D
