Stop copying snowboarders.

I know i have posted this before but when i posted the thread i obviously wasn't idiotproof enough in my speech.
ANyways. We need to stop copying snowboarders. Don't get me wrong... it's good to take inspiration from other sports. I hear way to many people on this site talking about how skiing is way behind snowboarding. It's not. Skiers do bigger jumps, bigger cliffs, ski tougher lines and do more tricks in the park. I hear people saying we need to be more like snowboarding. In some ways we do... snowboarders have mad style and are better at rails. but is that any reason to idolize them and focus our skiing around them.
We need to stop copying snowboarders and move on. Think about skiing and how we can make skiing better, not how we can be more like snowboarders. Snowboarders have run outta tricks and i don't want skiers to suffer the same fate.
Anyways i just think we need to think more away from snowboarding and more towards skiing. snowboardings great and all but i think we've taken enough from their sport.

for the record....what is wrong with snowboarding, if you dont like it dont do it snowboarders have sweet style and guess what! i strapped into a snowboard the other day!!!!

if anything we need to be more like snowboarders... in all their movies they are happy and goofing off, in ski movies its all gangster poses... in snowboard movies they have the sickest bc booters and the most creative urban shots, now dont get me wrong, skiing is getting there, but we need more... dont copy snowboarders, but the idea of having fun while doing steezy moves is where skiing needs to go...

copy snowboarding? that has to be the dumbest thing Ive heard on this site. Just because some one does the same thing as some one else it does not mean their copying them. I find that the majority of snowboards suck, people do it just because its 'cool', where as most skiers I see in the park or pretty much any where are better, or at least try to get better.

how bout we stop worrying about it? who really cares. until were just on one board instead of 2 were still skiing and its still not snowboarding, nor is it inline, or skateboarding or bmx or freestyle motox or whatever. you cant progress a sport w/o taking some influence from others. id say newschool skiing is progressing way fast and we should limit it as little as possible. if you see something dope done on a snowboard and could do it on skis then do it then tweak it enough so that its more skier style like

at stratton yesterday all day long i saw this boarder..he mustve been 13 or 14 trying backside nose presses on a 25ft flat rail and succeeding for atleast half the rail...i wish i could do that

this really isnt the place to bring up this battle, because noone is going to adhear to any of your ideas if there is no pro skier backing your shit up.
This website is just filled with wannabe trend whores. They think everything is 'Gay' untill a pro does it, then its like '...oh, buttering?!? I HAVE to do that now.'
The pros are not copying snowboarding...if anything they are doing there best to work along side/with that sport. There are just not enough people in the industry yet to be able to see a real difference among skiers. Have a good time riding your sticks, what you try to do on the hill is all that matters, people fallow by example. Go out and show them something different, that is all you can do.

Then how about agreeing nto not use the term 'cab'? Cab is switch FRONTSIDE spinning on boards (technicall not a true cab but...). Skiers have no frontside, so no cab. It's just switch.

snowboarding is ahead of us..........and no one hits bigger jumps than anyone else does we all hit the same jumps? its the quality of the shit being thrown down and i think snowboarding is ahead watch lost in transition and youll see what their youth boarders are doing compared to ours
