Recently, because we have a few very good and very influencial skiers at our hill, and because of the new rush of newschool skiing, i see alot of people with twin tips. Its not like im pro or anything, but alot of these kids have twins but not only dont do anything at all, but dont try to learn, and even if your not good, if your trying you get my respect. The thing is its slightly aggravating, and stupid. I saw a kid with chronics who went off the side of the rails and then smacked on the tabletop, not trying to do anything, and it sorta made me disapointed, and i felt like were moving to much towards the snowboarder 'fad' kinda thing. But then i thought, i guess there supporting the newschool nation by buying twins. Im conflicted.

i thought i would get made fun of cause i have my old lines mounted +5 with rossi rec bindings (mymom was all ripshit when i wanted the p12s cause she bought me my bindings) but i just hucked balls and everyone sees that i try, but i hate people who go off the side of the jumps without clearing them

i agree it is very annoying to have people with twintips that just ride down the park that dont hit anything and if they do they are either hitting the sides or rolling over the lip, i no they r just trying to have fun so i dont really no what to do its just so annoying to watch but what can u do

I know i should appreciate the fact that they are trying to have fun, and sometimes I try to tell them that going off the side etc. is not good, but getting twins just to be a level higher than the other people who do the same thing...is just stupid. Luckily our mountain made a 'baby' terrain park that weeds most of them out, but when people have twin tips they think thats a pass to get respect in the park.

Just show a little patience towards the new kids getting into twin tips. I remember when I first started and was pretty intimidated by the jumps and rails. I went off the side of plenty of jumps to get comfortable with airs. As long as you're not getting in anyone's way or ruining the jump then I think it's fine. It must be hard for a kid to explore the park while constantly being bitched at for being an immediate hero.

I see 5 years olds straight airing 20 foto tables. The least the kids can do is straight air the 15 footers and not go off the sides. Make your hit, ski on, don't go off the sides of rail lips, thats not what they are for, you just confuse peopel and get in the way. As I said, hit the feature, get out of the way.

^Your right, but the thing with some of these kids are that they have no wishes for actually doing anything, there too lazy and they wont sacrafice some pain is what it comes down too, or no one wants to teach them. On the other hand, there are some kids who get twins who try a rail, and because of that im like hey, and then i try to help them, or tries to 3 and i help them in some way.

i don't care if people gets twins, just makes my skis cheaper. As long as they don't fuck up the park or get in the way of peopel who are actually trying to progress.

or jay i went there and like 50 percent of the mountain is twin tips like even like 40 year olds and shit but i mean i think it might be for the powder cuz there were alot of pocket rockets

most of the twin tippers around here r cool to chill with and actually hit the park for real. now the problem is all the single tip little kids and parents(sometimes even w/ rental skis) who just ride down the side of the park or just drop off the lip of jumps. its the worst i think they just like to ride the j bar and that makes the line huge as hell. on another note there was some dude in like his early 40's w/ this years tm's and p12 jibs hitting the nice final booter from the big air comp that weekend doing huge spread eagles. i thought it was cool cause i thought it was a joke the first time... but it wasnt thats all he did in the park all day long. ugh

There are more twin tippers at my mountain, actually about 15 more than last year. But only about 3 of them try nothing new. The rest are actually trying stuff and aren't the little goobers you see snowboarding.

ya, i like get out to the mountain after new snow, and then some fool goes off the jump super slow, and stops on the landing and skied all the snow off.
