candide throrvex better than t hall?

Obviously this is an matter of opinion and taste, but you have to admit c. thorvex is as good or in my opinion better than t-hall, so why doesnt he get as much coverage? T hall thinks he is a rock star, im sure he is a nice kid, but these park kids think he is a god, I am just saying he is fucking good, but maybee overated- c thorvex just goes bigger, regardless if the sponsers and girls are watching, and skis better all round becasue he grew up skiing big mtn in France (roots natty roots!)-

probably because he skis most of the year in europe and im pretty sure that would get him less coverage and thall is in US im not sure if that is a good answer but its the only one i can think of

Mmmm... first off.. it is THOVEX... not 'Thorvex'. I like Hall better, but the reason he gets more coverage is because he is American, and so you see and hear more about him. If you lived in France, it would probably be the opposite. You would hear a ton about Candide, and less about Hall.

oh yea, I just remembered an idea- I think t-hall and sean white are the represent the same for each sport, there both really good, both are over exposed, and many people find them both to be irritating, or love them. kind of funny.

And, Hall is more sensational (he is more of a 'personality' than Candide). He is more controversial, and stuff... of course he is gonna get more coverage.

Candide is definetley sick and one of the best out there especially with his huge corked to disaster rails, but T is still above candide, T can ski lines and we all know his backcountry booters and park skills, I just dont see candide hitting chads gap switch or even pyramid switch for that matter. T is above the sport right now.

Thovex is way better and what makes him alot better besides his abiously sick ski ability is that he does his own thing. T-hall almost seems starved for attention and he gives out the wrong impression for most skiers i know at least.

hehehe, im officially entitled to a heavier oppinion just because of my post numbers, bow to my 2600+ posts.

ok, actually tanner is 'bigger' because he's not a recluse like candide, tanner is all over the place whereas candide likes to stay out of the limelight. candide skis in europe, not the US. he also doesnt park rat like tanner does. in eurpoe freeskiing is just starting to gain notice, whereas in the US its big. europe concentrates on racing, its still big and highly respected there.

there are many reasons why tanner is more popular than candide, but should be kissing candide's feet.

candide is a much better skier than tanner, all around too. he skis everything, not just park.

racing is still big here too moron. we just dont have the number of world cup races that they do in europe. tanner just promotes himself better than thovex, i mean who knows the name of candides production company, but every1 knows c-crew.

Doesnt that tell you something, candide injured last year and this year. Tanner never had a big injury, that also applies that tanner is a more rounded skier. Not getting injured is 80% of the game.

candide doesnt have the consistency that tanner does because he goes bigger than tanner....tanner just uses his same tricks over and over in different places, whereas candide is always coming up with new shit....and since he goes bigger than tanner, he gets hurt more often which is then the reason he doesnt have the consistency tanner does.....but come on, did you see Tanner Hall throwing D-Spin's over Chad's in 2001, when Candide was doing it as a 15 year old? thats what i thought

first of all, candide is a veritable GOD in europe. he's bigger then anybody else in the industry over there. second, nobody comes close to going as ginormous as candide. what dip shit said he he wouldn't hit chad's or pyramid switch? he only cork 7'd chad's 5 years ago and was also the first man to successfully gap it. who are you to say if he'd hit it switch or not? his run at xgames a three years back set the standard for pipe which nobody has yet come close to touching. 50 foot 810 to rail? what about those ridiculous cork 5s at superpark? and how dare someone impugn that candide can't hit freeride nor hit backcountry booters. the man comes the la fucking clusaz in the alps. you yuppy yokels haven't even seen real mountains till you go to europe.

tanner hall is good and i admit, probably the better park rider. but what he does is mimicked by many others (henrik also did cab 9 on pyramid). tanner has done some amazing things, but his greatest hits aren't at the scale of candides. what sets candide apart from all others is his distinctiveness. the shit he's done nobody can repeat. and if they do, it's not until a good 5 years later.

and candide probably smokes more dope then tanner too.

Actually tanner d spined a bigger jump then chads gap in 2001 at mammoth super park, the one that cr bio 9 over. Also I know its many years later but tanner hit chads gap switch today doing switch 9s over it.

i dont know who is better and i dont care....
but for whoever said tanner did d 7 over big jump than candide,
you cant compare a park jump to a backcountry gap,
doing it in the backcounrty is soo much harder
than in a park...
and candides cork five over the hip is still one of the best tricks ever done in my opinion.

Tanner plain and simple just has more coverage than Candide. He has also put out more and bigger results in big name comps. Tanner is also now producing some ski movies and did create his own ski company. It's like saying Hugo is better than Morrison, it is just on who gets the most coverage. (Not emplying that Hugo really is better than Morrison, just saying.)

Candide definetly rips harder than Tanner. It really pisses me off when people think that Tanner is god, just because he grew the sport. That doesn't mean all, park is sooooo much easier than backcountry. By the way, i think hitting chad's switch is easier than a d-spin over it, and that was how long ago?

Tanner gets comp results, tanner gets better movie parts, tanner is more consistent, tanner is steezier, tanner is smoother, tanner is more progressive (not at going big but at inventing new tricks and progressing skiin ghow I think is btest, towards butters and steeze and urban). Tanner does sick urban, candide does basically no urban. Tanner is easily as sick as candide.

i think they are both way good and i dont realy think one is better than the other because they both have there strenghts and weeknesses but candide can def do sicker things on rails and hit bigger hits than thall but thall has the style and the tricks in the air and ive never seen him crash.
