welcome to the wonderful world of HELL! mine had been broken for about a year. it takes 2-3 to heal. yes it hurts like a bitch and no there is nothing you can do, i sugest icing tho, alot. and ooo accually get one of the doughnut pillows they help!

yeah i super hurt my tailbone. it was hell skiing in the vt open last year. my tailbone still hurts when getting up and its been a year

That happened to me, for like a month a would die trying to get out of a chiar and it slowly hurt less and less, now it only hurts when I sit in cars for like 2 hours.

hopefully a bruised tail bone isn't as bad as a broken tailbone. I think the most painful thing with a broken tailbone was having to take a shit. I swear to God I have never prayed for the runs more in my life.

^ good call.
It hurts because you have muscle attachments in that area so when you stand up the muscles pull on the tissues/bones and as well, an increase in blood flow aggravates the bruise.

it hurts when you stand up because the muscle heads that are pulling you up are putting pressure of your tailbone. when you are just sitting there, the muscles aren't pulling on your coccyx.

Omg i just got one this saturday at mountain creek, i got on the first handrail there so wrong and ended up just falling back and smacking my tailbone right on the middle of the rail, it hurts to lay, run, jump, sit everything, it always hurts. And the worst thing is....my lax practices start tomorrow, doing situps and running is going to be hell, i need some immediate relief for this shit

i brused my pretty bad last year snowboarding needless to say i started skiing again and that was one reason why... lol, but yah it took 7 months to heal, and my tail bone still isnt all that greatly healed.
