'people shouldn't see coworkers more than family' True but what if its a family run operation? eh, eh? whadda ya think about that? I would never just commit sucide, I would take others down with me.

haha, i see your point with the working thing, however...SUICIDE IS NOT THE COWARDS WAY OUT. Fer cryin out loud i've heard that way too much in here and it really touches a nerve with me.
Sometime in the next few days i'll post an article explaining teen suicide and why it has absolutly nothing to do with being a coward or having a 'problem' that can be fixed.

I don't really see it as selfish. Some people are made to feel as if they're living for everybody else, you work for somebody, to pay somebody, you take care of everybody around you. If you can't live for yourself, why bother live? So that your family and friends don't feel bad? Fuck them. Maybe after they lose somebody they love they'll start living for themselves as well...

what i meant is its wussy and cowardly to be to lazy to either figure out your problems or ride em out, so you just end it.

This is true. We as humans are essentially shits, it won't matter if you live or die so everyone should just go with the way that would cause the least stress for all the other shits that you know.

Just cause you work a lot doesnt mean its horrible. There is no way the world could operate paying people to work less, a loaf of bread would cost you 5 bucks a lift ticket would be 250 a day. Plus I dont think that is why kids kill themselves. I know when i was 16 the whole idea of joining the real world didnt even matter at all to me. Now that I am in the real world working a real job every day starting at 5:30, I dont mind. I am actually enjoying it since I feel like I am doing something with my life. Sure I would love to ski for my entire life but when I am 50 and had never done anything but ski and work shitty jobs at night I would wonder what I really did with my life. Skiing is great, I am used to only doing it on the weekends so its not like I am missing out on anything. Plus I can look at what I do and have pride in it. Thats what work should be about if you dont take pride in your job and what you do then yes you will be miserable. I know if I skied all day and worked as a waiter at night or something I would have no pride in my job and would get sick of it rather quickly. You have to grow up before you can judge what it is like to really work.
Conformity, I'll never swallow. The world today full of pain and sorrow. Apathy, I'll never follow.

Easy way out, cowards way out, living for other people.....suppose in some cases that may be..but i doubt anyone with a temporary fixable problem is going to end their life. Maybe it's a severe chemical imbalance in the brain combined with low self esteem and confidence?

killing yourself because of your job is somewhat questionable. i was speaking in general before.

aright..i'm starting my article on teen suicide and depression. It nausiates me to read ingnorant posts from people who call someone who has killed themself 'selfish'. I'll have it up soon, read it, then form an opinion on the personal hell someone has to be in to make life not worth living. If you can't understand it, then consider yourself lucky.

ok, i read it, and i guess i understand it more now, but my article wasnt even about that(although it talked about suicide), it was more about the crappiness that is working for a living.
ps-even though i understand it more, i still think its the easy wasy out.

Krongos, first off, your article os a pile of ass dude. You're making an ignorant assumption and then laughing about it. Suicide and Depression is no laughing matter. What you wrote in your article is just plain stupid. 'We have nothing to look forward to.' What's up with that?? Fuck dude. You finish high school and you have the chance to make something of yourself. Go to university, go to college, get an apprentiship, go and make cars, go skiing, do nothing if you want. 'We leave high school and never see the people that we've grown up with again...' What a crock of bullshit! I left high school last year and went off to university 2500kms away from my home. I hardly ever see my family. None of my friends came to the same university, I came down here knowing not a single person, I had nobody, I made new friends, better friends, I don't give a toss for losing all my friends from high school, the friends I have made in the last 7 months will be friends for life, I can see it already. And what do you mean that people will commit suicide because they have nothing to look forward to. Sure, maybe some people are so crippled with illness or something that they have nothing. That's different and that's a minority. Think twice before you start out with shit like that man, it's a good way to piss people off.
You obviously have absolutley no understanding of the very real pain that is caused by such a massive sadness in someone's life.
And by the way, the article that Jibs posted is very good, ya'll should read it.

krongos...consider yourself lucky. Like i said, if you don't understand (and you obviously don't) then you are a fourtunate person who doesn't feel the pain in your life. Lucky you. I just wish that people like yourself understood.
IT'S THE HARD WAY OUT.

Dude..it's ok to feel depressed, even just for one night in a million, and newschoolers.com has proven itself to be a great place to vent. There are a lot of people here who care and want people to feel better. Just don't go raggin on people who have suffered far more. One night doesn't compare to a lifetime of self hatred. Post if you need advice or you need to vent...just leave the people who are SERIOUSLY ill out of it.
