Scratch FS stiffer than Scratch?

Why would they make the more park model stiffer. I know having a stiff ski in the park helps a lot, but doesnt it help even more out of the park? It doesnt make much sense to me. Also, anyone who has the FS's, how do you like them, i might be gettin a pair.

i think the differenve between the scratch and the fs is the core, the fs has a THC core and scratch has a wood core
THC
A composite 3-material core:
• Isocore: liveliness and lightness
• Wood: responsiveness and ski/snow contact
• Microcell: shock absorption
Wood core
• a more tolerant ski
• less pep
• accessible to more people

actually the thc core will break down eventually and lose its pop because foam tends to do that and wood core is the most durable and long lasting core

the thc thing doesnt break down as quick as 1080's though right? I only ski about 15-20 days a season, so they'd last a few years im assuming?

I have the 04' 174 FS's and they are sick. I'm not sure about this though, but I heard the 05' scratches (regular) have an all foam core, but the FS's still have the hybrid core.

the regular scratch is all wood not foam and the reason the 1080 breaks down quicker is cause it's all foam and the scratch fs is a mix of foam and wood stuff
