-trying too hard and forcing your $wag

Doesn’t matter if you ride poles or no poles, baggy or fitted clothing, narrow or wide skis, long or short skis, or even what tricks you prefer. If you aren’t a good skier you won’t have good style.

slowness is a big issue for me bc i’m bad, any tips on working on doing tricks at higher speeds and off larger jumps? like i’ll try to 180 at higher speeds and i’ll just do a shifty and die instead of spinning

Yeah, heaven forbid I wear my helmet and goggles how they were designed to function. Especially so my helmet might sit properly on my head.

Goggles under helmet is the dumbest think ever. Your strap impedes the proper fit of your helmet. You can’t remove or lift your goggles to get airflow easily. You look like a toddler who dressed himself for the first time and doesn’t know which clothes go on first.

Things that ruin style:

1. Skiing backseat
2. I don't have style, I tried to ski without poles for a year thinking I looked like Phil Casabon when I actually looked more like Gumby, and it wasn't even park skiing. There's only one dude who can actually make that no poles look good at snowbird and its that guy on surface outsiders who wears virtika. He's got mad style

Counter point, if you've never skied cambered skis you probably don't know how drive the tips or use a hard carve to your advantage.

Like everyone got they own style. I’m not gonna judge someone on how they do they thing. What ruins it for me is when people start getting all arrogant and doin jackass shit. Like park is all about the vibe.

also like some skiers can do a lip on 270 and I’ll cry tears of joy but I’ll watch a NBD and it doesn’t thrill me. Style is so personal there’s no way to define it or put limits on it

also forgot to add and others did Already but if you land/ride backseat all the time you may be a legit shitty skier who happens to know how to slide a rail. Shit looks so horrible. That’s my biggest pet peeve.
