A perfect representation of Trump and his supporters in one image.
Charlie_KellyWell I went from being a liberal to a conservative and have listened to NPR throughout. At least from my listening experience I can confidently say they skew most things to the left.
Dont listen to NPR as much as I used to, but I feel like most news programming is pretty centrist and that the more entertainment/podcasty stuff leans left sometimes far left. I'm pretty centrist with a left lean so that's probably why I think there news is centrist. I dont see how anyone would think it leans right, unless you are incredible far to the left.
DolanReloaded“Hurr hurr drumpf iz da frends wif da russia golluzhun hurr hurr”
Just watched a 30 minute video from Dan Bongino basically talking about how the Obama administration not only spied on Trump up to and past the election but also how they “colluded” with Russia in 2007.
Ah yes Dan Bongino, who once said, and I quote, "My entire life right now is about owning the libs. That's it." and used to be a contributor to InfoWars.
That is definitely someone I would trust to have a rational and completely unbiased take on anything political and not promote unfounded theories.

People gotta stop watching videos where it's just one person trying to be persuasive and dishing out the "facts", this goes for both sides. It so easy to make an argument for just about anything when you have nobody questioning you.

Commentary has its place. Its where you can hear each sides interpretation of events and how they view it. However, if you only watch commentary from one side or get your news from commentary you are doing wrong. Know a guy whose only news source is Steven Crowder. I cannot have a reasonable discussion with him about anything, and we agree on most things.

Ah so being a former federal agent and member of the secret service lends no credibility to his statements because he said “My entire life right now is about owning libs, that’s it” at some point in the past. Gotcha. Reminds me of the time when Trump said: “They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people." or when Biden said: “Well I tell you what, if you have a problem figuring out whether you're for me or Trump, then you ain't black."
Listen man I get news from all over. I get information from all over. Some is on the left some is on the right. For 4 years I listened to all sorts of people claim Trump colluded with Russia. There was an impeachment hearing. The findings? Basically nothing. Why? Because there was never anything. But people can’t let it get because they dislike the guy that much. It’s pretty funny tbh watching some people on here get all worked up.
I’ll pm you the video if you want but you probably won’t care because of some thing he said one time. We all have biases man, you don’t have to be afraid to admit it.

No, he said that in 2018, just two years ago. That's what drives the basis behind my belief. This isn't something he said 5 or 10 years ago, it was really recent. That's why anything he says, with regards to politics, should be discounted. He's admitting that everything he says, is going to be biased against a certain party, regardless of the facts. He will twist, contort, and manipulate things in a manner to do so that is beyond disingenuous.
Being a former federal agent and member of the secret service has ZERO bearing on whether or not he is a credible source or someone worth listening to. The fact that you think it does speaks volumes. If we want to look at his service record, you'd see he has been criticized by former secret service agents for politicizing his former position and exaggerating his experiences and claims.
But for fucks sake. If you think the Russian hearings found nothing, there's no reason in debating anything with you because it's clear we will have a differing of opinions that can't be overcame, regardless of what the facts say.

Sounds good to me. 52-48, 53-47. Plenty of facts that align with those decisions. But if you want to hang on to that irrational anger be my guest.

I mean, your Senate-led investigation found that the Russian interference was aimed at helping Trump...
The fact he wasn't removed from office (he was impeached) doesn't discredit the fact that the Russians wanted him to be POTUS and that there was contact between his team and Russian actors.
I'm sure Bongino forgot to mention this though.

He was impeached by the house not the senate, that’s an important distinction...
What you seem to be omitting is that the Obama administration knew about Russia’s plan to intervene in the 2016 election for atleast two years and did NOTHING.
“But, Obama, according to the Washington Post, "approved a modest package... with economic sanctions so narrowly targeted that even those who helped design them describe their impact as largely symbolic." In other words, a toothless response to a serious incursion.”
which sounds a lot like the Steele Dossier. He also mentions Fusion GPS and their work with the Russians.
He then talks about Mike Rogers and the Trump tower meeting, and how the Obama administration was using unmasking and “about-querying” through the NSA database to spy on the Trump team. It’s not that far fetched to think this may have happened.
What’s funny to me is that I watched a 30 minute video and you made the assumption that I get my news for Bongino. I was *simply raising some questions I had about the Russia investigation. Either way offer still stands on that link, you’d think someone trying to be objective would keep an open mind but clearly you don’t seem interested in that...

Yeah, the Senate doesn't impeach the POTUS, they vote on actual removal.
Man, you really parrot the GOP talking points down to the letter.
Let me ask you a question. What would you say if a senior member of the GOP internally spoke out against bringing the potential Russian interference to light? I hope you condemn them because that actually happened.
Mitch McConnell is purported to have been skeptical about the claims of Russian election interference and didn't want to "alarm the public". Now guess who wrote that CNN piece. A former McConnell advisor. That's just RICH.
It's not far-fetched? For fucks sake, how many times do I have to tell you Bongino has admitted that all he cares about is "owning the libs".
The IG, Michael E. Horowitz, who was appointed by Trump, found no evidence to back up the president’s claim that the F.B.I.’s investigations of his campaign and four former aides were inspired and tainted by political bias. The report also found that President Barack Obama and top White House officials played no role in starting the investigation or the F.I.S.A. application. Finally, Horowitz found no evidence that the personal political views of any of the investigated officials influenced the steps they took with the Russia investigation.
So Bongino's entire "hypothesis"/theory/conspiracy is unfounded. The investigations completely disagree with him.
The fact you watched a 30 minute video of Bongino is enough. He's not far removed from the waste of air known as Alex Jones, given he used to appear on InfoWars. I have better things to do with my time than listen to someone like him.

Key word is interpretation. Sadly most people just want to be spoon fed information or they only take in whatever interpretation agrees with their sensibilities regardless of the truth, ethics or the fucking sanity what they've been fed

You do a whole lot of talking without saying much. No shit I was “parroting GOP talking points”, I was summarizing the video that you refuse to watch because it raises questions you don’t want to hear. The fact that you think the administration behind Benghazi and the IRS scandal would have nothing to do with spying on a presidential candidate says enough. You’ve got blinders on my guy. If you really won’t even entertain the idea that wiretapping Carter Page, among others, couldn’t be abused through the “1 hop, 2 hop” policy then we definitely don’t have anything more to talk about on this matter.
You criticize me for basically watching a video by someone you don’t like or find credible (because he was a contributor on Info Wars). What’s funny though is that you can do your own independent research on the things he said and find that he’s not lying. That’s the beauty of the internet, you can fact check anyone on anything. And all I was pointing out was it’s not some far fetched claim you seem to think it is.
Also, FYI, I picked that CNN link because I found it funny how a news corporation that has been hammering Trump for 4 years non stop would also write an article that doesn’t attack him directly for once.

For fucks sake. Can you read? The OIG found that the investigation WAS NOT POLITICALLY MOTIVATED. The Senate came to the same fucking conclusion.
How much more concrete can that get?!
I don't know how many more ways I can say that. The IG was appointed by Trump, the Senate is led by the GOP. Do you need ANY more people to tell you the investigations had NO political motivation? The IG even said that Obama and his administration weren't even aware when the taps first started.
Christ almighty.
This is the shit I'm talking about. Bongino WILLFULLY ignores these two critically damning pieces of evidence because they refute his accusations. As a result, people like you, are of the belief the investigations were politically motivated. They weren't.
That's my fucking independent research. You can blow yours out your ass because no matter what, it's going to come up short relative to these two pieces. It doesn't get much more official than an IG and a GOP-led Senate investigation.
Talk about blinders.

It’s just funny to see people act like the MSM is objective with their reporting.
The Left:
CNN
MSNBC
NPR
The Right:
Fox News
I watched for 8 years as Fox constantly attacked Obama and CNN, MSNBC, and NPR hardly criticized and often praised him. Now the roles have been reversed and people want to act like most of the MSM is being “fair and balanced”. It’s a joke and most of the stations have lost all of their journalistic integrity as far as I’m considered.
CNN is an absolute joke. They (and other left leaning medias) have put all of their eggs in the *let’s blame Trump for COVID and killing hundreds of thousands of Americans* basket and I fear it could backfire since it’s really their own political plan it seems at the moment. People are back in school, working, sports, there WILL be a large spike in cases, but what if herd immunity has become enough of a factor that hospital deaths don’t spike to catastrophic levels? Right before election, you’ll have half the country blaming the left for closing down businesses causing people to lose their jobs, food, and even homes from being locked down over a liberal smear campaign?
skeirmanHaahahaha. It's hilarious because EVERY SINGLE TIME I put on NPR I say to myself "how many minutes before I feel guilty for being a white male," and invariably it never, ever, goes beyond about 2 minutes before I'm like ding ding ding.
To this day, I blame the “white guilt” campaign for we are today. Especially when it is (hate to generalize) generally college educated, white kids with a major in philosophy who are waiting for a liberal sweep of congress to pay off their student debt at the same time while they talk condescendingly towards the less educated white populace who actually weren’t born with a silver spoon in their mouth who come from very little money hence no college degree in sight.
I never imagined it could ever lead to something as horrific as where we are today, but absolutely knew there was no way the campaign wouldn’t backfire before the KKK only needs to change their slogan to “it’s okay to be white”.
45 is the biggest threat to this country that I could ever fathom, yet somehow the left can’t help but avoid getting in their own way and shooting themselves in the foot
