TheMoostafianI think that was in 2007. If I remember correctly, most of the guys arrested were fucking dirtbags that had no qualms about selling meth to kids.

That being said, I think mostly only low level dealers got arrested. Ultimately it probably wasn't very effective.

There is one guy among those arrested, though, who's son I went to highschool with, who I do consider a decent guy.

r00kieThe whole colorado is libertarian us more myth than fact. Lots of government regulation, majority of land is government owned, state police will pull you over in civilian spec cars, more than a fair amount of gun laws, etc. You want more freedoms and less government in your life go to Wyoming or Idaho.

DolanReloadedidaho and wyoming dont have 1/10th the economy/population colorado has. One of my freshman suitemates was from wyoming and he was a total loser. He was kind of like bode miller. Bigger ego than deserved, nothing that special or interesting about him.

If colorado was as barren as idaho and wyoming then drugs would probably be decriminalized there already. Colorado has a huge population to deal with.

as far as states go i dont think another state is even close to being as libertarian as colorado. Maine and california are basically socialist. Colorado is pretty right wing economically from what ive gathered. And the population (now especially) love drugs as much as hunter s thompson did.

He almost won the sheriff seat in aspen and probably would have if the anti drug losers didnt freak out and run a huge counter campaign to stop him from legalizing drugs once he became sheriff.

Anyways i think theres too many glaring examples of colorados endemic libertarianism to deny. Iirc ron pauls numbers were higher in colorado than any other state back in 08.

Film.Since legalizing weed the state’s gone down the gutter. The money from
it just got funneled through various channels of big government and never seen again (typical.) Population exploded and I have a feeling the senate elections going to go fully blue with Hickenlooper winning and the state will no longer be purple. Not to mention because of Covid housing sales in summit, Denver, etc are at all time highs because everyone’s leaving cities to get “outdoors.” I love this state lived here my whole life but it’s not nearly as libertarian as Wyoming, or Idaho. The 30 round clip magazine ban proves that, and in Wyoming you can buy the most fucked fireworks and guns in all of America. Sure this place was libertarian 30 years ago but the more sodo sopas built in Denver along with deranged Californians streaming in it has shifted.
