Someone was executed in my crawlspace

Well...probably not but I'll never know and I ain't digging for bodies. Was in there cleaning it out and prepping it to put a vapor barrier down and seal the walls and noticed this. Someone racked off a bit of 9mm and 7.62x39 (probably an AK). The 9mm was on the right and the rifle rounds on the left, separated by about 2-3ft. There are a few holes in the ac duct that were from it. This was shot from inside the crawl space as the duct at the entrance is blocking the firing path to the wall. The holes are not grouped well but are in the general vicinity of one another. So either some retard decided to shoot a few rounds with his gun in the basement one day or two people were executed from 20ft away explaining the sporadic bullet pattern. Can you imagine shooting an AK-47 in your fucking crawl space lol!?

Probably happened before the house was built but after tge foundation was in. Maybe a murder maybe just target practice.

That's what I thought except there's bullet holes in the ac duct punched in on one side and out on the other. Also one was 7.62x39 and my house was built in 72. I know they existed then. Just seems odd someone would have one back then here.

Update, talked to my neighbor who has lived here for like 30yrs. She bets it was the crazy family who lived here about 10-15yrs ago. They were the "big brother is out to get me" type. Oh and she up and deserted the house in the middle of the night. Suspicious. I ain't digging for bodies though unless I start getting haunted and need to salt and burn some bones.

Now I wonder what's in the attic.

That grouping is far too sporadic to be the evidence of an execution. A good shot would only need one (maybe two) to end a person's life--one to initially stun the victim, another to finish them off. Plus you gotta think the perpetrator would want to be as discreet as possible and firing off this many rounds would be sure to attract attention.
Conclusion/possible explanation: the gunman was not expecting his target to also be armed and the result was hectic shootout, resulting in what you see here.
Why this all happened in the crawlspace, rather than on more conventional dueling stage, idk...Maybe the previous resident was woken by a loud overhead crash in the middle of the night, went to investigate (bringing his high-powered AR kept conveniently under his mattress), and upon entering the crawlspace was met with a barrage of bullets. He blindly returned fire not knowing where exactly he was being shot from.
Just a theory...
