How in the actual fuck are they paid this much on an hourly non-exempt status??? What the fuck. Wouldn't be surprised if this isn't just expensive west coast cities. They start at $40/hr wtf and that's not even including longevity pay, one of which is 2% for wearing a body cam lmao wuttt. Fuck I'll wear a camera in the bathroom if you give me 2%.

Everyone wants get all up in arms about this right now, but don’t hate the player. The SPD doesn’t have enough people and obviously there is no shortage of work. Blame the city top brass for agreeing to the collective bargaining agreement that allows for this. IDK

I guess the point I was trying to make is fuck who knew cops made so much. That's more than enough to live in that city. The cost of living adjustment is not that big; other jobs don't have an increase of that magnitude. And you know they're all working overtime. Even here in columbus they make 90k after 9 years without overtime.

I guess I'm just shocked at how much they make. Shoulda became a cop lol. Their union is likely responsible for bargaining and kudos to them. It's just crazy though is what I was trying to say in a crass sort of way.

Yeah I agree. Just shocked to learn this. In big cities though they probably do deserve some sort of hazard pay as some neiborhoods are basically warzones.
