Disclaimer i do not live in the US. Today I opened my Tor and set the location to USA. I was watching a YouTube video of some protesters in front of a police department. Like 2 of them with skateboards went over the fence. They got bear sprayed and shot with rubber bullets, not really that crazy. I know there are real riots happening there too, in other cities. I looked at the comments though. I didn't realize how bad it is in the US. Everyone is saying things like "use live ammo", "shoot all the commies", "do your duty, kill the cockroaches", saying how all protests are actually riots, and they want to kill all of the people. This was not just bots it was a lot of real people. They were using the word "cockroach" to describe these people just like in Rwanda. People who live in the US is it really that bad and do you think that's actually going to happen?

In certain places it's not too bad but in some places it is. Normally the people who use that sort of language to describe groups are completely nuts. Unfortunately in places like Chicago people are really opportunistic and will purposely start a riot to cause a diversion so that others can go looting in other parts of the city. Honestly the protests are almst completely peaceful but you only ever hear about the ones that aren't. Unfortunately 2020 just has everyone dialed up to 11 so tensions are running high.

On the internet it's that bad I think, but irl it's not. People say a lot of things online that they wouldn't say to someones face. There are some places where the tensions are pretty high (especially cities) and it is like that but for most of America I think it's at least a little chill.

Shit's getting pretty fucked. Lots of open nazis and white supremacists coming into the public sphere. Probably all started with charlottesville. Now we have kids going to blm protests to murder people and a candidate for congress who unironically wants all muslims to die
