- Video of the Jacob Blake shooting surfaces, spreads like wildfire.

- A group of people comes to Kenosha to protest during the day. Out of staters start making their way to Kenosha, because that's where the media is.
- That night, rioting breaks out. Garbage trucks set up as barricades are burned. Shops on streets leading away from the epicenter get windows busted out for a few blocks. Some other things are vandalized, including the dinosaur statue in front of the Kenosha Dinosaur Museum.
- Kenosha police and Sheriffs toss some tear gas, but don't even attempt normal crowd control on the rioters and looters. (i.e. shield walls or arresting the criminal element in numbers)

- By the next morning, social media has ensured that the rioting is well covered and publicized. Somewhere in northern Illinois, somebody creates a facebook group called "Armed citizens to protect our lives and property." That day, comments are posted on the group, to quote one: "When the shooting starts, make sure that somebody is sending a live feed of the mother fuckers going down. The whole nation needs to see what these asswipe liberals have caused with all their candy assed political correctness."
- Illinois "militia" formed on facebook arrives in Kenosha that afternoon, one of them 17-year old Kyle Rittenhouse of Antioch, IL. More left wingers arrive as well.
- We now have a situation with both right-wingers and left-wingers from the internet have grouped up in the same place. We've seen this before in Charlottesville, and more recently, Portland.
- Instead of instituting crowd control techniques to keep the right-wingers and left-wingers at a safe distance (for an example of a police department actually doing a good job at this, look at the first few days of Charlottesville. The police did not pick sides and instead focused on mitigating conflict. Given the tiny police force available, they kept the peace surprisingly well... for a while.) In Kenosha's case, the local Police and Sheriff decided instead to "buddy up" with the right wingers, sharing water and chatting, while making no attempt to keep the peace between the two groups.
- At around 11:40PM, some of the armed militia members and some of the left wing protesters get into a verbal altercation. Joseph Rosembaum, a convicted pedophile who did 12 years in prison, is among these. It can be assumed that to incite a reaction, Rosenbaum and a few others verbally antagonized Kyle Rittenhouse for a couple of minutes.
- At 11:45PM, Rittenhouse can be seen running away from Rosenbaum. Rosenbaum throws a plastic bag containing a heavy object at Rittenhouse. This falls short. A few seconds later, the two end up face to face. Accounts differ and footage is grainy. Rittenhouse shoots Rosenbaum in the groin, left hand, thigh, forehead, and back. Rittenhouse takes a few steps away, then returns to look at the stricken Rosenbaum seizing on the ground. He pulls his phone out to call his friend (named in the criminal complaint) and says "I just killed somebody." This is audible in the video.
- Seconds to minutes later, another video shows Rittenhouse being pursued down the street. He trips and falls. One pursuer stumbles over Rittenhouse. The identity of this person is unknown. Anthony Huber hits Rittenhouse with his skateboard. The board glances off Rittenhouse's left shoulder. Huber's momentum carries him over Rittenhouse, and as he takes his next step, Rittenhouse swings the rifle from right to left, and fires one shot through Huber's chest, entering the left side front and exiting the right side back/shoulder area. This shot hit Huber's heart, aorta, pulmonary artery, and right lung. Huber clutches his chest, takes two more steps, and falls. He does not move.
- Gaige Grosskreutz runs up to Rittenhouse with a compact 9mm handgun (appearing to be a Glock 19). As he gets close, Rittenhouse fires one shot at point blank range. A large cloud of "red mist" is visible in the footage as the muzzle blast scoops a large chunk out of the bicep of Grosskreutz.
- Rittenhouse runs toward Kenosha police vehicles, gun slung in front of his body, who tell him over the loudspeaker to clear out of the street. He walks past, and the police drive down the street to the site of the shootings.
- Rittenhouse is driven back to Antioch.

- Governor Evers sends 2000 Wisconsin National Guardsmen to Kenosha. He also accepts aid from the Illinois National Guard and President Trump's offer of federal officers.
- Rittenhouse is arrested at his residence in Antioch, IL.
- As the Feds begin to arrive in Kenosha, so do more left wingers. Many of these vehicles had Oregon or Washington plates. It's suspected that when they saw the media coverage of Kenosha, they packed up and started to drive there, taking two full days.
- Feds catch cars with OR/WA plates filling up gas cans at a local gas station, allegedly for use in generators. Most of the cars got away, but footage shows feds surrounding a minivan with OR plates and arresting the occupants.
- Feds (FBI and DHS) start pulling over every car they can find with Oregon or Washington plates and arrest the occupants in large numbers.
- Night falls, peaceful protest of about 300 people marches through Kenosha's residential neighborhoods, but no rioting occurs.
- Rittenhouse is charged with 6 counts: 1: FIRST DEGREE RECKLESS HOMICIDE, USE OF A DEADLY WEAPON, 2: FIRST DEGREE RECKLESSLY ENDANGERING SAFETY, USE OF A DANGEROUS WEAPON, 3: FIRST DEGREE INTENTIONAL HOMICIDE, USE OF A DANGEROUS WEAPON, 4: ATTEMPT FIRST DEGREE INTENTIONAL HOMICIDE, USE OF A DEADLY WEAPON, 5: FIRST DEGREE RECKLESSLY ENDANGERING SAFETY, USE OF A DANGEROUS WEAPON, 6: POSSESSION OF A DANGEROUS WEAPON BY A PERSON UNDER 18
- Rittenhouse is scheduled to be extradited to Kenosha County 30 days from the date of his arrest.
