I’m not saying 17 year old can’t shoot guns but they need adult supervision.

I guess he's supposed to sit there and get beat to fuck then.
DolanReloadedThis.
i hate overly aggressive cops as much as anybody, but this kid was pretty much getting attacked. Dont attack someone whos carrying an AR-15. Apparently liberal school teachers dont teach their students that these days.

Kid was a brainwashed lil boot licker through and through, he even shares the same passion for beating women as the ~40% of cops who do too apparently.
kid already got charged with homicide too thank god.

270on420outOk im betting that he will be found guilty on all 3
CLQI think we can all agree that the Trumpie in Portland deserved to die
T.L.I rest my case.
snowfinderHe ran towards danger when he drove 30 miles to walk around with a weapon of death and then used it to kill people. He got what he wanted dead protesters, I hope his prize is jail for life.
Mtuhockey33You can’t take anything CLQ says seriously; nobody even takes CLQ seriously. He’s just a racist Asian that doesn’t believe minorities can be racist.
Mtuhockey33When he gets cleared of first degree homicide I can’t wait to laugh in your face. Good luck proving he went there with the intent to kill 2 felons. If he had, Grosskuetz would be dead; not missing an arm.
TRVP_ANGELthis is true, @CLQ is very racist for a chinese person, one time he dm'd me asking how much white guilt is too much. i told him i was a poc (black) and he then told me he was surprised that i can afford internet on ebt.

.MASSHOLE.That's the first video but, at least to my eyes, Rittenhouse is already running. I want to know why he is running. Did he say something? Did he do something threatening? Or was it wrong place and wrong time? If he did something/said something threatening to people, it's an understandable (not saying it's the correct one) reaction to chase after him. The protesters are already hesitant to trust the police, especially after they've seen them supporting these vigilantes, so it'd make sense (again, not saying it's right) they would want to handle it themselves.
Either way, people died. A 17 year old kid should never have been playing vigilante in the first place. He was in a high stress and tense situation and he was not even remotely prepared for it.

Mtuhockey33Just wondering what your thoughts are on Gaige Grosskuetz? You know, the felon who drove further than Rittenhouse to get to Kenosha, with a gun that he legally is not allowed to have.
Should he also, “get what is coming to him” which, legally, is a fine and a prison sentence since a felon is not legally allowed to have a firearm?
Lonely
LonelyPut him in the prison, let the justice system decide. Don't think he should get 7 in the back or merced by a teen.

Craw_DaddyListening to this testimony in court is too damn funny. The prosecution team doesn't know shit about firearms or self-defence and they are getting so flustered with these witnesses. It also sounds like the first guy Kyle Rittenhouse shot was acting violently the whole night and was seen trying to BURN DOWN A CHURCH earlier that night. Too damn funny man, this kid is walking away free for sure, as he should!
HypeBeastUgh this again.
Should he have been there? No.
Should the others have been there? No.
Did he act in self defense? Absolutely.
He retreated. He tried to escape and only after he tripped and fell did he fire upon his pursuants who were inches from him at that point. One of which was wielding a skateboard as a weapon. Another had a pistol. And for those who have never taken care of an assault victim, you can certainly kill someone from punching or kicking them, especially if you have multiple attackers. This ain't the movies. You don't just get back up after being beat to a pulp- you die. He likely woulda been severely injured had they caught him and initiated an assault. His defensive actions are justified. The case is about the incident, nothing else. Not why he was there.

LonelyYeah. I'm sure the muddiest part of this whole case is the proportional response. Didn't used to but now I'm more on the side of it was proportional. Doesn't take much for someone to be beaten to death. Kid is still an idiot. I have to wonder how his driving there and putting himself in the position will be used by the prosecution.
Obviously, this isn't a 1 to 1 comparison, and I'm not a lawyer, but in a scenario where two guys are in a fistfight and you run over to try and break it up...and you get punched...can you claim self-defense in that scenario? You weren't the one instigating but you also didn't take any steps to avoid conflict either. So I'd imagine the defense could make an argument that by putting himself in that situation willingly, by either driving there or patrolling/larping around, he wasn't entirely in the right when it comes to self-defense?
Idk just speculating

Craw_DaddyThe prosecution might go that route but a few things are pretty obvious from the video evidence in court today.
1. He took steps to avoid confrontation and was coached by the guy with him not to engage with anyone verbally.
2. He was there acting as an EMT and spent most of the night attempting to provide medical assistance to protesters.
3. His presence there was appreciated by law enforcement, who actually coordinated with him and the people he was with throughout the night.
The prosecutor questioned the guy that was with Kyle about "what gave him the right to be there" today and I think he was kind of following the same line of reasoning that you are. And the answer is that they were asked to come there by the business owners in Kenosha. So a more accurate analogy would be breaking up a fist fight in which one of those people is calling out for help. And I think it is a little more clear who is in the right in that case.
theabortionatorIf you want to avoid confrontation maybe don't cross state lines and wear a rifle on your back. Did he go there to kill people? doubt it. But it's weird to see it as some kid that just accidentally ended up in this like he was walking home from work.
Seems like he got mixed up in some stuff he shouldn't have. Too many "We're gonna take our guns to the streets and save the world" people out there.
I hate how polarizing this shit is. I'm not a fan of the "He went there to murder people, he brought a gun" people, but jesus fuck the "We're gonna save the world by taking to the streets" ignorant redneck vibes are shot too.
Before somebody tries to grill me about how freedom matters and this is the only way to show the government, remember all the politicians widely supported by ya'll. Like Idk bush? Not like the patriot act did anything to your freedoms. But you were mad at brown people then and republicans always have your side. Sure, obama double down on it, but I'm just saying.
Idk, both sides are cooked. I know, bringing in politics but peoples beliefs in these cases are always so fucking political. This is my side, that's the other side. This is the narrative we believe as ___________. I hate it.
Everyone is either the absolute perfect hero or the most disgusting villain in every case. Shit is always likely more grey than that. Idk, that's all I got to say. I don't even want to be in this thread really.
skeirmanHoly Christ, is anyone watching this trial? This shit is amazing. The prosecution is doing a worse job than I ever could have fathomed possible. If Rittenhouse doesn't walk I'll buy someone a pair of wets.
HypeBeastI didn't know he killed a dude before the second part. While it muddies the water I think he'll still get off. Anyone have the video of the first part?
Film.Yes, here it is https://twitter.com/jackposobiec/status/1455579165739167752?s=10
It looks like Rosenbaum even throws some object that's flaming at Kyle before engaging.
HypeBeastOh shit. He's innocent beyond a doubt in my book now. Holy cow. That was a fucking molotov and he also retreated in that scenario too.... Also what a shame all those other people taking advantage of the protests and starting riots and causing damage.
StainrOP punchin air RN. Lets fucking go Kyle!!!!
skiermanIts fucking weird that the hero of Republicans is a child who traveled to another state with an illegally obtained firearm in order to needlessly put himself in a dangerous situation which resulted in multiple deaths.
Craw_DaddyIts weird how Democrats are obsessed with proving someone guilty of a crime they didnt commit and keep using these same arguments to justify it. He only drove a short distance and left the gun with family friends in WI order to be compliant with state law.

skierman"I KNOW YOU'RE RIGHT BUT HE DIDN'T BREAK OTHER LAWS AND HE DIDN'T DRIVE TOO FAR!"
I guess that's what happens when you only focus on meaningless culture wars and idolize complete morons because they belong to the same political "tribe". But hey, at least Biden and Dems passed a $1 trillion bipartisan infrastructure bill so those lead-infested pipes that are poisoning your feeble minds won't be around much longer.
Just keep focusing on shit that doesn't matter while the adults improve your debt-ridden, welfare reliant Republican shitholes.
Film.It actually doesn't get worse for a prosecution at this point. If he's not acquitted on all charges there was some serious Jury tampering going on.
