Ok you're buddy stopped by the cops and they get aggressive with him, he gets scared and runs away. The cops know he is unarmed and poses no threat but they decided to shot him in the back multiple times. The cops are then justified in the shooting and get away with cold blood murder and are still on the beat getting a paychecks from the taxpayers. The community gets together to have some kind of action taken against the police instead they are meet with more cops in riot gear and the cops start attacking the people asking for the right thing to happen. People try and try to make the right thing happen and kept meeting the heavy hand of the law. Are you going to tell me that a few people aren't going to lose their shit after being attacked each time they go out to fight against the thing that is attacking them?

In a more humorous note, this country was basically founded after some people destroyed some tea so you could say destruction is in our nature.

This is something I can agree with you on. Anyone who lives in a big city knows this all too well. Yes poverty and situations provide incentives for gang activity (you can't blame the system but also you can to an extent), but fuck me, it's outta control. In columbus literally half the homicides this summer have been in teens against other teens. It's fucking nuts. Gang violence is out of control but we try to make it like police are the bigger issue. I get it, cops have been unethical to say the least and downright cruel at times; cops should be people to depend on so I can empathize with folks who don't have that same feeling. But considering all the fucked up shit we see every summer with violence between minorities, people shouldn't be acting like cops don't have anything to fear. They have to constantly worry if the people they roll up on are armed and ready to act. People are acting like cops are a bigger threat than the violence that plagues those communities. There's a reason people with higher incomes don't live in impoverished areas and crime is a HUGE aspect. I'd love to live in a house that cost me $100k but I'm also not trying to hear helicopters and guns all night long....and I mean all night long. Ffs my house is on the fringe and even we occasionally hear gunshots in my neighborhood.

You're right, I have only had great experiences with officers. Having a clean record, being respectful, not making any threats helps with that. But to claim that all cops do is some areas is incite violence is also very narrow minded.

Fun fact I went on a ride along with a friend that was a new cop we had a meal with an older cop who pulled rank on my friend by threatening to arrest me and there was nothing my friend could do about it luckily for me he got a call for something and had to leave before showing he was the bigger man in front of a young eager cop. We tried to report it but were told he was just joking, yeah he was not joking at all he was out to prove he had the power and that's all he cared about.

Yeah its despicable. Fire departments do way more than just fire too. Most are responsible for ems transport of the most critical patients from scenes. I don't think everyone knows that.

For sure, when I had my TBI last week it was two volunteer firemen/ems that were first on the scene to administer aid. Super grateful for that. Those guys see a lot of shit, especially with all the heroin overdoses we are seeing nowadays. They deserve a lot more then they make.

I’d be 100% down for letting the courts decide the shooting if they looked at the facts and didn’t riot and burn down cities. Peaceful protest is the way to go but once it stops being peaceful, I’m all for the police to stop it. If they’re worried about getting fired for shooting a criminal, then yeah, we need vigilantes.
