ebotdzIf your primary focus is hypertrophy and you're still a beginner (this is an awesome thing to be), meaning you're able to get improvements in primary lifts every week that are very linear, then stick with every other day, like a Mon-Wed-Fri split.
If you've hit your first plateau, I'd switch to a push-pull-leg split with a day off following every leg day. This is a typical intermediate lifter split and works great when you start working in periodization (progressive weekly increases in intensity followed by a deload).
This isn't the only approach but the one I like most.
Mike Israetel (has PhD in Sports Physiology) from Renaissance Periodization has been my favorite discovery during the pandemic. Here is a youtube playlist that has summary level lifting principles:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a5Yzg5K5EPE&list=PLyqKj7LwU2RukxJbBHi9BtEuYYKm9UqQQ&index=12. It should link with the video most relevant to your question. I'd say watch them all.
