Thoughts on the bentchetler 100

for the 2019-20 season I skied on the bentchetler 120s. they are quite frankly the most enjoyable ski ive ever ridden. that being said, I'm wanting to add a slimmer ski to my current one ski quiver..

whats y'alls experience with the chetler 100s? how did they treat you? other recommendations?


(for some context, im riding at snowbird, and as far as ability goes, I can hold my own pretty well off of any terrain the resort has to offer)

They’re my favorite all mountain ski! They can rip through moguls, piste, and woods. They are also nice to do tricks on.

I’m also (mainly) an LCC skier and I skied the 100 the past two seasons. Awesome ski that’s more reasonable than a 120 width on choppy days but still way fun in deeper stuff

Great all around ski, only down side I can think of is the speed limit but that’s only if you’re worried about hauling ass

It's a rad ski, though it also doesn't feel very similar to the 120 in my experience. The 100 is much stronger and has a more directional design, though there are plenty of people who ski it mounted -2, -3, -4 from true center and love it as a freestyle ski.

To me, the 100 is a super fun, lightweight, versatile all-mountain ski that performs very well for its weight, but it's still very light so obviously not a charger. Doesn't really feel out of place in any particular condition, enough backbone to ski very hard in soft snow, and while it's not super surfy or poppy, its low weight helps it feel pretty playful.

To the guys loving the BC100, are any of you skiiing the 188cm? or just shorter sizes? trying to figure out if they stuffed it on the 188.. or whats up, I was so stoked on them but not so stoked after buying.

I feel the tails are stiff/weird, like no bueno for butterstuff unless really sending it.

Yeah I don’t really think they were intended for smearing around the mountain. Don’t think they’re as playful as the BC120 (like luke said) but they still seem fairly forgiving to me...

I skied the 188 and yeah, definitely not an easy ski to tail butter, though the shovels are significantly softer so nose butters were definitely doable. But yeah, main thing that stood out to me was how directional the flex of the ski felt — was much stiffer than I would've guessed, since it's called a Bent Chetler.

at 6'2-6'3 (190cm) and 220-230lbs its RARE I find tails as powerfull, which is kinda weird since shovels are not.

I love chargy sendy skis, but the flex pattern for me is just weird.



I do love them in the air and such though, and plenty stabile for landings, I did my 1/2nd mount with jester 16 to try different mounting points, and my 3rd mount on them with shifts, and retired them for touring use and such with the shifts now.



I will give them they are quite fast, but the speed limit seems to be 45-50ish before shovels give. So a pretty good ski in general, a VERY good ski for its weight. but.. the flex, just weird.



and yeah, not very smeary.

Really nice all around ski really flex in the tip but not enough in the back
that why a sold them they like really flex in the video i saw I guest I didn’t have the same pair ahaha
