Those fancy leather and fur one piece ski suits worn by rich karens who get mad when you ski within 20 feet of their ski racer kids. Wow I sound like an ass now that I read that
I bought their stuff the 2nd season it came out when it was still first drop. Zipper on the coat broke after 1 season, pocket zippers broke, holes in the jacket.
CLQI’ve literally only heard bad things about Virtika, does anyone have anything positive to say about them?
Years ago I used to own a virtika jacket and pants which in hindsight was an embarassing mistake for obvious reasons. The jacket actually kept me super warm and the pants were pretty decent. However, virtika is still super wack to me

I remember a while back technical ski jeans were a thing. It was cool at first as a novelty but it still makes you look like a Texas Jerry even if your warm.

every person that ive seen wearing virtika this past season has been some old dude in his late 30s and its clear their wife left them and took the kids
I made the mistake of buying virtika pants last November, I don’t really mind them for the most part, but I do feel extremely stupid sometimes wearing them. They’re mad warm and I haven’t had any durability problems with them yet, but just very ugly to me on the back side.

Virtika is actually a sick brand but everyone hates lesh so much that its not even cool. I hate to say it but I ride Virtika snowpants because I like the sizing and im not ready to drop the cash for new pants but I regret it everytimr I put them on

I know it’s subjective but I think pretty much everything virtika makes looks like shit.
are we all gonna pretend that Jiberish still makes cool clothing?
Their old shit was dank, nowadays its just boring ass logos and shit screen printed onto champion blanks while they make you pay $10 to wait 3-4 weeks for your shit to show up.

What I would give to go back to 2013
Imo they got some cool designs with the westhermaker collabs but its definetly not what it used to be. More of a streetwear brand than an ski brand

calling them streetwear isn’t how I’d define them. I’d more define them as “Instagram brand that sells cheap made clothes online”
like no ones hyping them outside of skiing so it really isn’t really streetwear. I remember when People shat on kids starting clothing companies by printing designs onto cheap T-shirt and Hoodie blanks to sell online and that’s literally what Jib does now. They shoulda jus let that company die when the OG owners split from it.

The supima hoodies and shirts are nice but I know they have some rebranded champion stuff. Can't speak for any of the other stuff. As for 'streetwear" I would actually agree with you, the hype around the brand is kinda dead and skiing culture was what was holding it up until now.

It had to be said.
I miss back when they had sweet collaborations too like the old Pretty Lights stuff:

Dude the old Jiberish was actually designing clothing- I miss the outerwear, the pants, the button downs, hell even the scarves.
Like straight up Jiberish has become the Warren Miller entertainment of skiing, just a shell of its former self, the original creator long gone, taking the brand in an entirely new direction (into the ground). It just sucks to watch what used to be one of the sickest brands in skiing reduced to this cheap, low effort, Instagram “fashion” brand.

Yeah solid point, we need a new jiberish, something to take its place. Idk if we are ever gonna get that though, but we can hope

Very much this. That and just sell clothes for fuck sake. Dont be like a wannabe Supreme and do this "Drop" crap. I just want to go to your website and see what you are selling. Dont make it a jack in the box surprise to build fake hype:
Its so unbelievably stupid. I get other brands and ski brands have their announcements for 2021 but dont shut down your whole damn site to make it like some retarded tinsel wrapping paper job for when you release.

Yeah there's not enough of a following and they aren't near popular enough to pull anything like that. Its hard to build up hype for a brand thats lowkey dead
Bro they should just make clothes and stop tryna be unique

I think thats their problem though is that they aren't unique anymore, theres thousands of 'hype' brands that are putting out the same looking stuff as Jiberish is (simple logo, generic landscape on a tshirt in a box, etc). What happened to the eccentric pieces go? Remember the Oh Werd? That thing was super abstract and was probably my favorite sweatshirt thats ever been made.

Ironically that’s exactly what the OG creators did, I believe they just make high quality blanks to send to other companies to use- which would make sense cause that’s what Jib was known for.
