Idk man they’re definitely both cocky fuckheads but I hope they grow up soon so they can pursue their ski careers because they had the style, they had the tricks, they just didn’t have the personality. If they start acting like good, mature members of society I think they deserve a second chance.

All race, politically correct stuff aside, they're complete tools and are a horrible representation of the ski community. Not to mention how difficult it is to make a true living in skiing these days. Seems like only the top top skiers can live off the sport in today's world. They'll be fucked in 15-20 years simply based off their personality/lack of self awareness even if they go on to have successful ski careers following this

Imo part of the reason why I think they deserve a second chance in the future IF they get their shit together is the fact that even tho they said the N word its not like they are actually racist. They are just stupid teenagers acting like assholes which is totally different than some racist dude physically attacking or bullying black people.

To all the ppl not willing to give them another chance if they clean up their act I think ur just not thinking straight. What if this is exactly what they needed to happen in their lives to not be complete assholes. Look at scrappy for example. We as a community accepted him being an asshole (for the most part) and he still is one. Hopefully these kids on the other hand got taught a huge life lesson and they act accordingly and if they do I hope the best for them because as much as we all hate them, they are better skiers than all of us, and I think thats where some of the hate is coming from.

That is very true 99% of the time but I genuinely hope that they are the 1% that arent because I love watching them ski I just hate them as people. If they clean up their act, would you welcome them back into the community? I would, it only seems right if they learnt from their lessons.

Don’t get me wrong guys I hate these little fucktwats just as much as anyone else atm but c’mon it would be sick if they got their shit together because they have potential to change the ski scene forever and be some of the greats.

Tbh I doubt they will change, but if they do, they deserve a second chance for sure. Me being the person I am I just wish them the best even tho they will probs fail lol.

As a whole your post is fairly agreeable, you can't excommunicate someone (especially minors) from society without allowing them to make amends for mistakes, but using racist/homophobic slurs shouldn't be normalized in any circumstances. I know some people who say/used to say shit like that as a joke and I'd be lying if I haven't chuckled at offensive humor in that vein or said them a few times before. The problem is over time you get used to saying it and forget the how hurtful it can be to people outside your circle, community, or race. It may not seem like bullying in the user's eyes but I can sure as shit say it probably makes people unnecessarily uncomfortable no matter what the context.

Hence why I called out the Fagan's sponsors in my other post. While I'd say the twins have a responsibility as role models it brings to question whether skiing as a whole has enough role models who aren't just "non racist" but anti-racist who can steer kids away from being like the fagans. Thankfully I've been seeing quite a bit of the latter this summer but mostly at the underground level and not so much where all the gapers and younger kids might see it.

I don't think their use of the n word was ever the reason people started hating on them. People have always disliked them because they're privileged retards who're highly unlikeable in every way. Their documentation of themselves using the n word was just the golden ticket that justified everyone's hatred of them. They totally suck, and I can't see their personalities improving because I think they simply lack the intelligence to recognize or accept just how fucking retarded they are.

i say fuck em because there are hundreds of other skiers who i would like to see get shine before them. dgaf about skill, they are not who i want representing a community i am a part of. i could name you more than a handful of unknown kids who do it for the love, have unique styles/bags of tricks, and are genuine, worldly humans. not to mention i strongly dislike the fagans (lack of) style of skiing to begin with. there's nothing free about it

if they want to they can keep skiing and try to gain fame off of skill alone and that's fine- time will tell how the community feels about who someone is versus their skiing ability

Why are people downvoting this? They 100% deserve a second chance, young kids in the spotlight. They are really good skiers and personally I want to punch them in the face. But yeah they do deserve to be forgiven, its not like they've commited a crime.

I just hope they learn from their mistakes and mature into level headed top level skiers. They are likely to be future olympians. Lets hope that doesn't go to their head either.

Lol these kids honestly suck at the moment. But you’re right, the problem with this cancel culture is how are we going to expect people (esp kids) to learn if one mistake equals “cancellation”. Isn’t the goal for these kids to realize how stupid they were, change, and hopefully tell others how uncool it is in the future?

Just to be clear, I do think they should have been dropped from their sponsors. Actions have consequences but I would hope we, as a community, can let them learn from their mistakes. IF that’s the path they choose, or course. If they want to continue to be ass holes and not learn from their mistakes then I think getting rid of them is totally fair.
