Looking to rent for cheap in a cool place (CA, WA, OR, NV, MT, ID)

I am WFH and looking to rent a cheap easy place for 1-4 months, starting in September. I would love to be somewhere close to surfing, mountain biking, or skiing. Does anyone have an extra bedroom? Or know someone who does?
