KevskiI'm sure there are a million I'm not thinking of first, but Teddybear Crisis had a lot of electropop and electroclash type stuff. Always worth a watch - Tanner's seg is a classic.

And so did Level 1 films back then. Realtime in particular had quite a few electronic-based segments. And it's been free since the Level 20 podcasts.

You just posted my two favorite movies, partly bc i love the music in these movies just as much as you do.
realtime is such a fun movie to watch bc of the blizzard that inundated denver and colorado with 6 feet of snow in december of 06. I remember that storm it was ridiculous.
i feel like after refresh though level 1 kind of seems like it used up all its originality.
realtime turbo and refresh were all filled with great fresh sounding electronic flavor tracks but from eyetrip onwards the songs kind of lost that energy and started sounding stale. I have watched realtime, high five, shanghai six, turbo, Lss, and refresh at least 5 times for each movie. But eye trip, after dark, and sunny i watched once then threw on the shelf and never felt the urge to watch again. I did watch the fm belfast “noise” sun valley superkicker segment from sunny a few times but the rest of the soundtrack was dead to me.
back on the topic of originality, i think its like the virginity idea the director of trainspotting, 127 hours, and slumdog millionare danny boyle said in a top gear uk interview with jeremy clarkson where he said something like you only have so much virginity in you and once you have expressed yourself completely in a film or being original in some way you use it up and once you use it up its gone and you dont get anymore.
i think maybe Berman lost the spark or enthusiasm he had in his earlier films because he went from having almost zero hip hop tracks to having too much hip hop as if he was trying to cater to a mass of idiots with shit taste in music.
The song in wallisches segment in after dark for example was a catastrophe imo. I wanted to hunt down the rapper who made that song and punch them in the face. Thats how annoyingly worthless that song was imo. Start at 4:25.

i think the best thing about tbc and pre-refresh l1p vids was that you would hear really fresh sounding music you hadnt heard before. They were all over ladytron and fischerspooner and i will always thank berman for showing me them bc they are probly my fav artists ive ever listened to.
maybe you cant be original forever idk.
