I currently ski a 2011 Ninthward HHP. They have held up really well durability wise (probably 7-8 cracks after 3 years, but no signs of the edges warping or pulling out). I could easily get another year or two out of them. I love how lightweight they are and how stable they are when I don't land perfectly. They have one problem for me. The full camber is great for about half of our season here in Ohio: the non slushy part. Once I start skiing slush here, I will go out of my way to avoid landing switch because I will catch an edge or get grabbed by a snow shark every hit. I need some form of rocker or early rise.
The #1 factor in a new set of skis is edge durability since I could care less about jumps. I don't think I even spun a jump all of last season. I don't want ON3P since they are out of my price range and my local shop stopped carrying them. I am looking at 3 skis right now
K2 Poacher: seem durable and stable for landings, but I have heard they are stupid heavy
Line Chronic: Line puts their best materials in them. These skis go on sale a lot and I like the fact that they are built to be skied outside of the park as well. I hear that they start to struggle in the slush though due to the mostly camber shape
Line TWP: Same as the chronic, lots of deals and have good materials. I have seem a decent amount of people have issues with these skis though for some reason.
Are there any other skis I should consider? I am looking to drop up to $450-500 max on the sticks themselves.
