I'm going to spend my entire next season (ACL Permitting) Exploring the Unknown Realm of Tactile Skiing. And I'll Produce a Video Project Documenting it.
For those of you that Don't know or can guess what Tactile Skiing is, it's Skiing by Feeling. Realistically it's a veryyyyy broad term. It could Embody all High-Level Forms of Skiing. But in this instance I'm using it to Describe a Type of Skiing I do that Requires/ Encourages Physically feeling the Snow & Features of Skiing as much as Possible. So much to the point that Typical Ski gear, (Ski Pants & Gloves), Can't and Won't Hold up to the Tactile Nature of the Style.
This entire Realm is Barely Touched. Honorable Mentions Would be Dollo, Bdog, Noah Albaladejo, KillaMuffin, Charlie Owens, and a few others. These Skier's Gave me the Idea and the Vision of Possibility. And from that point I've been able to Explore and Expand the Collective Consciousness in this Realm. But it Goes Deeper. Part of me Wonders if I'll be able to make it as Deep into this Realm as my Imagination Demands.
This Might be a Multi-Year Project. In One Season, Coming back from a Blown ACL, Will I really be able to explore this deeply? I Expect a Deep Learning Curve. The Fundamentals and Basics will Most Likely take a Whole Season. But I do already have a Semi-Solid Foundation. So We'll see.
This Right here tho, Will Engrave my Name into Skiing's History. This will be my Gift to the Culture. What I discover is Public Domain. So I eagerly Welcome a New Generation of Tactile Skiers. A Generation that the Culture has never seen before. Potentially So Pivotal that it May even change the Way Skis are Constructed. But until that day ARV106s are my Weapon of Choice.
So We'll See. This Goal is Very Ethereal. So We will see how it Truly Forms in Due Time. I mean who knows, Just Calling this the Beginning of an era, and facilitating it through small Insta Edits might be The Best Way. Or a Large Abstract Video Project at the End of the Season might be Best. We'll See.
