Technica Cohise 130 DYN touring boot

They're gonna be pretty similar. One difference is that they area little slimmer fit 99mm as opposed to the 100mm of the MV. what type of boot work did you have done to your current ones?

I’ve used the 130LV’s and have 120DYN cochise and of course the cochise has more volume than the Mach 1 lv but sounds like it’s pretty similar to the MV although I’ve never had those on my feet.

Hey man, I am a boot fitter at a Tecnica dealer. In terms of fit they will be very close to each other. On my foot with the stock liners the Cochise feels a little snugger in the heel and ankle pocket. But very similar fit in the instep and forefoot.

How does the Mach 1 130 LV compare to the salomon S Max? That S max fits my foot real good except for that stupid heel contouring

Never tried the s max but I have a pretty narrow foot- not small- and the 130 LV felt so crammed with my foot in there. They ain’t lying about low volume

My foot isnt very narrow but it is very flat. I loved how snug the S Max was but I suppose I'll find out with a bootfitter! Thanks!

Could be right for your foot. I’ve got a 27.5 pair in basically brand new condition I could sell you on the super low if they do indeed fit. It’s an awesome boot and I’d probably still be using it but I’m trying to get into touring so I went with some cochise dyn’s corbets had on crazy sale at the beginning of this Covid mess

I have about 40-50 days in total on my dyn 130s this season, had to punch the area around right pinky toe knucke. love the boots. Been using them for touring 4-5 days, and resort/park the rest.

The SMax is possibly the lowest volume boot in the instep I have ever ha don my foot. That being said Tecnica has done an amazing job with the Mach series and the LV is a great fit if you have the foot for it. Both boots are going to be 97 lasted. If your are going to keep the stock liner Tecnica's CAS liner is awesome to work with and a fitter can do a lot to that liner. I would try both on for a good 20 minuets and then going with the one the feels the most uniformly snug all around.Make sure you are in the right shell size as well.

I know 28.5 is my size, only issue with the salomon boot was the stock liner was pretty not great and the heel contouring left me with a haglunds deformity. Should have gotten the whole thing fitted and a 130 with a booster strap not just a 120

I think I had them punch the left liner in a little bit and work on the toebox just a little bit to help accommodate my left foot (Nasty foot injury; foot got mangled in a mower). My left foots now slightly smaller than my right in terms of size so they worked some minor magic to see if it would help and it certainly did, i felt more comfy in boots than shoes all winter.

Right on dude, liking the sounds of the boot so far. I knew it wouldnt be exactly the same but its good to know its something similar to go off of.

Punching in the right pinky toe area might work for me as well, i sometimes experience issues with that and toe curling or whatever.


Thanks for the info, gentleman. Ive been seeing some deals for them around and will probably pull the trigger on a pair from last year or something. The Mach1's are definitely a killer boot and had lots of great moments all thanks to them last year.

for some reason the dyn 130 is the only boot I can ride all day in a lift without looseing the upper 2 buckles in a day, also the boost strap is daymn nice. go figure, its weird because its supernice and tight for control there.
