All the predecessors and similar skis were noodles too - Made'n AK, Big Kahuna, the whole Seth line. I could be wrong, but wasn't that a powder ski strategy before more advanced profiles existed?

Never skiied the Made'n or Seths but I always thought they were on the stiffer side. Ya learn something new every day. I thought the Seths flex would have been kinda close to what a modern poacher would be.
I have a pair of Gotamas from probably 07 and they are the stiffest twintips I've ever used.
The hellbents were full rocker, I think one of the first full rocker skis that was very popular, so they were a totally different profile from any of the previous K2s except the Pon2oons.

My Seth Pistols are the softest skis I've ever owned. I got them used so maybe they were a bit stiffer new.

The Gotamas were very stiff indeed. Back in 2007 I had it narrowed down between Gotomas and 4FRNT VCTs and ended up going with the VCTs. Both are stiff as hell, the VCTs are basically race skis with 104 underfoot. You can switch bomb anything with them. I used to switch carve the NASTAR course for shits and giggles when it was closed.

Same for my Obsetheds. It might be them being used, but looking at reviews of all the skis I mentioned the general idea seems to be that they're softer than usual.
