About a month ago I ordered a rooftop tent for my truck and yesterday it was finally delivered to me. The day before yesterday I received a call from a woman who worked at the freight company telling me that my package looked like it had been damaged by a forklift. This woman was also nice enough to send me pictures of the damage. Initially, I told her not to deliver it but then, after emailing customer service at the tent company and being told that I would be compensated for any damage to the tent, I had it shipped to me. Upon receiving the box it was obvious that no one had taken care in packaging or handling the tent the entire way through the shipping process. When I opened the box I found several dents in the top of my brand new $3400 tent. I sent pictures of the damage to customer service and today I received an offer of $300 and some JB Weld to fix the dents (lol). Personally I feel that this isn't remotely enough money and what they really need to do is fix my damn tent. Especially since they have a warranty for their tents shown on their website.
