skiermanAre you fucking kidding me right now?
https://www.hinterlandskis.com/
Hand crafted skis built in SLC by one of the legends of NS. You didn't know Kitten Factory was out of business and Hinterland existed, this proves you're way behind on the underground market, brah.
These are some of the best skis you can own right now.
wutangforeverNot tryina pay a grand for 1 pair of skis. No matter how well built they are, I'm still gonna break them. Im basically just looking for the best bang for my buck in terms of durability and that usually comes from companies who are small and care about the product. But still, I gotta cap out around 500 bucks.
wutangforeverbest bang for my buck

skierman"I'm looking for the best bang for my buck which is why I'm focusing on small companies!"
You are next level dumb.
skierman"I'VE GOT A BUDGET WHICH IS WHY I'M LOOKING FOR SUGGESTIONS ON UNDERGROUND SKI MANUFACTURERS THAT ARE MORE EXPENSIVE"
"DID I MENTION THAT I RUIN SKIS QUICKLY? THIS IS A GREAT IDEA."
KittenFactoryShoot me an email at kyle@kfskis.com if you are interested in some skis. We do a small production run of our bigger pow skis that we ride in the fall / early winter.
TRVP_ANGELbuying expensive skis just so you can slam them onto metal
the skis:
wutangforeverLmao I feel you. The idea is that I'd theoretically be spending around 350 already for skis, so if there were any companies that make skis that cost a little more that perform better and last longer, I would like to take a look at them. Plus any company can bullshit about construction, I'm really looking for first hand experiences people have had with other companies.
pinkcamo1000my vishnus held up great to the abuse I put them through. I'm really into rock jibs and skiing east coast glades when there is only like 15 cms of snow on the ground. I don't think you can get made in USA skis for less than 500
clindblomskierFatypus is on sale rn for 390$ for any of their skis. They are made in USA
pinkcamo1000ok I guess @wutangforever should buy those then lol

CatdickBojanglesWait why are you trying to sell your
brand new Magnus 90s? They are some of the most durable skis and are a small indie brand. Maybe skierman was right.
wutangforeverI skied a used pair out at hood and I just didn't like the way they skied to be honest. Too much rocker and too stiff for me. And within a day they started to separate underfoot. Idk I just want something different

wutangforeverBeen looking at a few underground companies for my next skis. 3 brands in particular. Kitten factory, skevik, and deviation. All 3 boast about durability but idk anyone who really rides any of those skis so it's hard to really know what's best. Basically looking for personal experience, thanks!
