So @MilfHunter got me thinking. It's obvious that you can make a fuck ton of money on porn as an "actor". Even without a contract people are making bank on pornhub but they're a dime a dozen.

Would you do porn if you knew it would net you some dough?

100k a year?
200k?
300k?
Whats your number?


The social situation would be weird with family, friends, husband/wife (unless they're the partner), future children finding your shit, and neighbors. Though the income is wild for people who are smoking hot or have a huge wang and don't look like a troll.

I think the dynamic is easier for the anonymous people on pornhub as they get paid for having the sex they already are having with minimal risk to privacy. Being public is a bit sketchier.

So would you do porn? In what capacity?

Well the porn industry is dead right now

nobody is shooting scenes and a lot of major companies are going out of business

with the current situation right now a lot of male and female pornstars are escorting themselves out

Pornstars don’t make barely any money anymore

the top female star might make at most 2k per scene and that’s usually if it’s a dp or gangbang

the top male pornstar might make 600-800 a scene at most

most male talents make only 200-300 per scene

The point of university it to learn a skill that qualifies you for a job that is useful to the rest of society, preferably one you can't learn on Youtube (of which there are fewer and fewer each day). Otherwise, you should spend $10 on a book or internet service. In the US we pay for that qualification, in other countries people are taxed to fund it. If you want to pay for it yourself, I personally think that's dumb. You aren't going to find gainful employment with that skill, it's a hobby. If you are going to school paid for by others, I think it's unethical to study things that won't enable you to give back.

Why study Israeli/Palestinian conflict? You mean geopolitics and world history? Certainly you aren't suggesting that geopolitics and world history serve the same societal value as studying the history of porn. Knowing the history of Israel and Palestine is something you can learn online as well, it should not be an entire class but a small facet of a class on a journey to understand how the world is shaped geographically and politically. This greater understanding would prevent most of the ignorant statements I see from...say.....abortionator....who I assume votes. I would be a very disappointed tax payer if I found out my dollars served the purpose of teaching a teenager about who did anal first. I struggle to find the societal value in a course on this subject and don't think it's cognitively challenging to dive into the issues of the porn industry. Don't misunderstand me, I'm not saying there is no value in knowledge just because I don't really like the subject. I'm saying that you have a moral obligation to learn valuable skills when someone else is funding your education. Knowing a lot about porn history is not that.

A liberals arts education and or majors that fall into that domain of study isn’t trade school. Why don’t you look thru the course catalog at some of the top universities and look at the courses that show up.

You are proposing a very outdated and archaic argument, and I am sorry to tell you but understanding of university and or what the purpose of it is does not at all reflect reality. You can learn tons of the exact same shit online as you can at university. Have you ever taken an online course that your university offered (if you went to one? Also, are you totally uninformed of about how universities have had to operate in light of the covid pandemic? Everything is fucking online thru Zoom. In the true spirit of academia and research there is nothing that is not worth studying and research, nor a value or worth on the merit of the area of study. Nobody cares what you think the point of university is, that is your opinion and the only person that your opinion matters to is you! That said, your opinion does not reflect in anyway the inter workings of how a university works, what courses are offered, and the purpose of a university education. Your opinion reflects an idealism that does not reflect university education in the present age or past. I think you have confused university with trade school or something along those lines.

There's not really much money in it these days and I'm not much of an exhibitionist. If you do the right stuff tou can make it work. Honesty the only fans and cam girl types probably do better.
