Thule one key system and a cross rail mounting ?

With how these locks mount and secure to the bar, does anyone see them as worth it? I’m no thief but I look at it like how someone could steal my stuff, and while the plastics a joke, I don’t see the metal being much better?! I could easily unmount this whole system with 1 tool , metal locks or not 😐 my skis etc will be in lodge or whatever, I’m worried about my rails and cargo box that’s $2g 😡
And my Jeep has the fix point mounting system, the Thule mounting kits screws into the Jeeps rails, anyone using thread lock on these?

Buy hardware that is keyed or safetied. My bmw's rack is secured on by spline bolts that need a special tool to remove.

The cargo box should bolt on from the inside and should be naturally 'secured'

Other than that, nomatter how well your shit is secured nothing's a match for a battery powered angle grinder. Anything you'd do would just be a deterrent.

I'd also suggest stickers/paint/markers/engraving/etc that would make ypur stuff easily ID'able if it does get jacked. But I wouldn't worry about it too much

My bolts can be removed with a basic torx bit with a hole in it which sucks so I’ll swap and reinstall with something else

The Thule security system is a joke. You can buy every possible key for a few bucks each on their site. Get you into any roof box or to remove bars
