How come someone who takes boring photos such as peter McKinnon, have more followers than Alric Ljunghager?

Peter McKinnon has 2.5 million followers and most of his photos are rather boring. He is skilled at taking a photo but he has 0 creativity. Alric takes some amazing and creative photos and he only has 4k followers, that is absolutely criminal.

social media is based on how well you market yourself Mr Mckinnon markets himself very well on yt and insta. take the photo challenges he did where thousands of people would tag him in photos. he's not creative but is a good businessman
