r00kieLets get some predictions on how this plays out. My guess is that if he gets any form of traction and support base he'll have some "surprise" scandel come up and drop out. Also, anyone willing to admit that they'll be voting for him?
DayManI would vote for 2010 Kanye but 2020 Kanye is a questionable choice at best
I feel like it says a lot about USA politics that among the two frontrunner candidates, Kanye fucking West actually seems like a decent option
freestyler540Kanye West is a classic attention whore. Enough said
StainrIts a brilliant idea, hes going to be pulling at least 10%-15% of democrat votes from Biden. Trump is going to win by a landslide.

TheMailManLegit question here, did any Americans take Trump seriously when he first announced he was running? It all sounds like a big joke or publicity stunt that Kanye is going to run, but did people think the same thing about Trump at the beginning?

Monsieur_PatateI think he might want to adjust his message if he hopes to pull 10-15% of dem votes.
So far we have:
- vaccines are “the mark of the beast”
- planned Parenthoods do the Devil’s work
- we need to stop doing things that make God mad
- I’m focused on protecting America, first, with our great military
- I’m following the word of the Bible
- Reinstate in God’s state, in God’s country, the fear and love of God in all schools and organizations
That's a pretty conservative message, I don't really see the overlap with Biden, but who know.
Really amazing lineup this year folks, we have a decrepit sexual predator, a racist decrepit sexual predator, or Ye. How did we get there?

StainrIMO 10%-15% of dem voters don't even understand what a democrat stands for. They see a black guy running for president and are going to vote for him just because.

Young_pattyTbh, I’m not voting if Kanye isn’t on the ballot. Like sick lemme pick between 2 senile and alleged rapists
vibecheck^^^^^^ facts, why is it normal to have such oLd presidents
galardogodKind of sad it’s not realistic because Kayne is one of the greatest minds of our time . As he said him self this generations closest thing to Einstein . He’s thought and creative process is unmatched and his ties to old Donnie make Him politically woke. Would really like to see him have a solid Bid

Charlie_KellyThere are two other candidates running, at least one with a decent platform, and neither being old, senile alleged rapists.
TheHamburglarVoting for a third party candidate is throwing your vote away. No third party candidate, to my knowledge, has ever remotely come close to gaining enough electoral votes to win. This can be particularly important in swing states where all of the electoral votes go either D or R, and the popular vote of that state can affect a massive number of electoral votes (see Florida, Michigan, Ohio, etc).
If more people in these swing states had voted D instead of 3rd party or not voting at all, that could have swung those states blue. But again, no 3rd party candidate has ever, in recent history, come close to winning. They just pull potentially deciding votes away from the only two parties that have a realistic shot at winning.
I hate the bipartisan system, and truly believe we need a total restructuring of the electoral system in this country, but that's the way it is sadly.
So yes, while both candidates are old, senile, fart-fucking molesters, one of them is getting elected in November (unless they both die from heart disease which would be preferable)
r00kieThis mindset is what upholds the partisan divide. The two major parties have convinced the public that they are the only two options thus keeping them in power. Vote for whoever you think is best, not "I only have two options so I guess I'll vote for this person." The only way to get rid of this terrible system is to stop voting for the parties that create it.
CLQU voting third party only splits the vote between whatever party you more closely align with. Voting third party will not change the 2 party system.

Charlie_KellyMeh I hate this line of thinking. It simply perpetuates the cycle. I can at least live with the fact that my vote didn’t support either of those two molesters. And what really sucks is those third parties usually have the most realistic, moderate platforms.
This. The “lesser of two evils” mentality is the exact reason the quality of candidate from the two major parties has been in decline the last 20+ years.

TheHamburglarI believe we need more moderates from both D and R to be appointed and elected in all three branches of the government, people who are more willing to compromise on finding solutions that benefit both parties, and ultimately the country.
I think that's the best way to progress, considering how the electoral college works (doing away with the electoral college would be a good start against bipartisanship though).
I hate seeing these hard right and hard left mfers in congress who just argue like little schoolgirls over petty bullshit. Imagine if we had lawmakers who were willing to agree on bills and issues and work towards a common goal... that'd be a start. I think this country could do a much better job of electing senators and reps who represent the moderates here, which I think are the vast majority of us.
I understand that even in democratic EU countries with multiple leading parties, most of the parties are variations of progressive vs conservative. However there are still generally two leading parties (I'd love for someone who knows more to jump in) and they seem to work together a bit more than American politicians (again correct me if I'm wrong) so I don't think it's impossible for us to follow suit eventually, even with just the D and R parties in the states.
r00kieThe parties would have to start running more moderate candidates. They get more polarized the greater the divide becomes. But since for some reason people only vote Republican or Democrat the divide continues.
galardogodIf the Dems and the republicans had any accountability a third party vote would win this election due to the moral grievances of both candidates
