Collecting Trail Maps!

Hey,
I'm currently getting together ski trail maps as part of a gift for someone, but I've only got a couple-- If anyone's got a few lying around that they don't want I'd gladly send a few dollars your way for them :)
Or if anyone has any leads on where to get extras, that'd help too!

I was thinking itd be cool for someone to stockpile some and then send them out for like a buck plus postage. But then fogured some of the resorts would freak out because theyre free. Would be cool to just be able to get one no hassle for "what the fuck it's just a buck". Idk. There was a thread on years ago of people trading trail maps from their local hills.

I have a Jack Frost/Big Boulder map I can send for free. But if you really want some I have one or two resort magazines with trail maps I could send for a couple bucks.Just pm me.

I used to do that too when I was young; then imagine myself being there. I would pick them up from shows, sponsored events and conventions. Had quite a collection.

i'v been collecting 7.5 and 15 minute maps since grade school of mostly the cascades and a few in the Olympics and inherited my dads old collection, fuck I love topo maps

I started up on a collection of Topos. Before my death, I will mark the map of my area of the sweetest, best spots of my life with interesting projects. Then, only someone will stumble on it and reveal it to everyone else, turning it to shit ice and played out. Only after my death, will they find the map.


kinda my big middle finger to the skiing industry.

But I have been tracking down pricy gemstones and visible gold findings!

Ghanite spinel.

A Sapphire

Red is Glossary Garnet and the purple quartzy looking thing is iolite.

Sapphires, Garnets, iolite, beryl and emerald, jade... Im still looking for aquamarines. Got a chunk of Ghanite Spinel by accident.

You got a nice variety out there, heres a couple pics ,tge first is chlorite phantoms, loose hessonite and some clear quarts and tge second pic is mostly hessonite, looked better when i found it than it did when I got home

I'm pretty sure its small epidote and the purplish area i think is auxinite.
