I really hope they pick their ski careers back up

Honestly I think it would be a shame for the sport if the Fagans fully lost the support of the US ski team. I think losing most of their sponsors and having to go through sensitivity and diversity education will be a great learning experience for them. It's undeniable that they fucked up big time, but I think theres room for a comeback. People will never fully forget what they did, similar to Goepper throwing rocks at cars, but they're still so young, theres still time to mend their image.

Personally I love watching them ski, they push themselves so hard and have actually developed some style over the years which is so dope to watch. This is one of my favourite slvsh games of all time and I think it rivals Emil vs Hugo games. This is what skiing is all about.

That being said, the illiterate, scripted apology didn't exactly do it for me. I would love to see some action in terms of helping the community (POC) that they have offended. It's obviously up to them to decide what steps they will take to give back to that community, but I don't think it's too far gone to make amends. At the end of the day, they're human, we all fuck up, and I understand they're supposed to be role models, but I don't think many people here would end up looking too good if all of their rough moments caught on camera were suddenly posted all over the internet.

I care less about the N bomb because if I did, well I'd be a huge hypocrite because it's not like I did any better as a dumbass white kid.

The problem I have is when one of them popped someone in the mouth for being kicked out of a party. All the stupid N bomb shit would be absolutely swept under the rug like it was for countless other athletes and media personalities if they weren't absolutely insufferable otherwise.

I am not justifying their use (or mine in the past) of the N word at all, the fagans just get away with too much and will have to learn certain things the hard way. Fuck them kids.

Good skiers but thats about all they had going for them. Never seen anything particularly innovative in tricks or style. The whole jock, influencer, model combo was cringey.

Meh I don't really care what they do, if they put out a cool edit and I watch it and think it's sick, then sick, but otherwise it doesn't really effect me what they do. NS has given me all the news I've ever heard about the Fagans so if they drop off they drop off

The more I’ve thought about it, the more I can care less about them getting skiing back as a career. Throwing around racial slurs cause you’re too ignorant is bad but popping an unprepared dude in the face is super low...it’s a physical action. not to mention their half ass apology in which they tried to make themselves sound better (yeah I bet you’ve only said it once). It’s a shame their parents worked so hard for them to be ignorant of their actions. If they do get their career back good for them but they don’t deserve it that’s Forsure.

I fully agree that skiing is about all they had going for them, but thats a lot of what comes with being a professional athlete. You get really really good at your sport, but clearly miss out on crucial parts of life such as an education. You can't always do it all.

Have you ever seen anything particularly innovative from guys like McEachran, Goepper, Ragettli (minus the quad if you call that innovative), and Mcrae Williams? Thats kinda what being a comp jock is all about... you don't really need to be the most creative skier out there, just well rounded and consistent. I'm not a fan of the modelling either, but who really cares. At the end of the day, cringe factor isn't weighed into your score at a world cup...

i think they have to go a little further than an apology video, maybe volunteering in their community at a minimum. I definitely dont feel bad for em, just want to see them ski in the future because they're good at that and its fun to watch them. think of it like a tiger woods-cheat on your wife a bunch, get arrested for a dui, then win the masters and be highly respected-esque comeback. minus the highly respected part, maybe they'll just win some shit, idk. my point is athletes get free passes on doing horrible shit all the time

EXACTLY. It's ridiculous that none of the sponsors reacted to that video in the first place.

The best thing they could've done was to step down from the US ski team before they got dropped and delete all social media.

Spend this summer laying low, come back next winter and just ski for the fun of it. This is when they could get some social media back and start dropping some ski material out there again. This will help re-invent themselves and rebuild their image as properly sick skiers, which they are of course. Soon they can start competing and I'm 100% sure the freeski team will take them back again.

Idk if it’s a NBD but goeppers sw d9 screamin was actually sick. Think there’s a YouTube video which breaks down some of his more rowdy tricks including that one and even in slow mo it’s gorgeous

It’s not just the racial slurs, the assault or general scumbaggery and douchebaggery, people need to get it through their heads, sorry doesnt fucking cut it. Especially when your NOT sorry, your a pos at your core and your saying it for personal appearance and financial gain and have learned nothing, only contributing to the continued decline of our race. Those kids should be perma banned, I for one will immediately stop purchase with anything they associate with.

The n word videos are the top of the iceberg. Since gaining traction on cringyskiers2 I’ve had 20+ people dms story’s on how they’ve been treated by the fagans back in Maine and even in Colorado. Those kids think they own the world and that’s not ok. The story’s that have been shared are truly stunning as they constantly bully kids and treat others like peasants. So I think the reason nobody cares if they get their ski careers back isn’t based on those vids of them saying the n word but the fact that they abuse their money and use their fame to bully and harass other kids.

if all the stories you're talking about of them treating people like shit are true than i agree, fuck em. i was nearly convinced by some adult who commented on the article about US freeski suspending them that they weren't total pieces of shit, that these videos just caught their bad moments, and there was in fact a good side to them.

It's pretty tough to accurately judge their character from my position, not knowing them aside from social media, or having any mutual friends who know them. I've read countless comments bashing the twins and also some defending their character in real life. I guess i was just hoping there was a good side to them deep down

Really none of us know them outside of social media. Some of us, know someone that knows them etc...
The thing is, they probably are not complete scumbags, they probably have some good qualities and skills aside from skiing, but that’s worth 0 when you do what they do.

For all we know, they’re not even racist, hell they’re so young and immature they don’t even know who they are, neither of them can stand alone and say this is me, this is who I’ve grown and chosen to be, they’re wildly enjoying life and portraying themselves in a way they see as cool to be viewed.
Im for forgiveness, once it’s earned. When they’ve put the time and experience in to truly understand and grow and choose to be better, be the flow don’t go with it.

These kids are completely devoid of any personality or style. There are probably 100s of kids out there who ski on par with them or will have daddy pay for them to ski like them.

These kids careers are over. Unless David Lesh pulls up.

Used to do airbag camps and stuff with them when they were like 12. Always mega self centered and overall not very nice.Yeah it's not a great look to be dropping the n word as a 16 year old white kid, but what person under 25 doesn't look at themselves 2 years ago and cringe? Still, because of who they are, it's nice to see karma served. Hopefully this experience will make them better people. I will say that Deven was less of a piece of shit than Kiernan, though they both could use some humbling.

It’s gotta be rough to get ostracized by the community you’ve been a part of for your entire adolescence but I can’t say that they didn’t have it coming to them. Gonna be interesting to see what they’re like in a few years. Honestly hope they turn out alright and this serves as a major wake up call

No persons skills are good enough to overlook ignorance. In the aspect of skiing that they are trying to excel in they aren’t even top of their field.

They definitely have skill and we’re starting to come into their own. But so are so many more kids around their same age that aren’t trying to post shock humor skits on social media for attention.

If you dig their skiing that’s wonderful. But if you ask me, if they weren’t twins they wouldn’t be receiving half the attention they are.
