I'm 17, rather new to freestyle skiing (3 years, but I've been skiing since I was 3), I'm 6 feet all (183cm) and weigh 145lbs, yeah im pretty skinny. Anyways, I'm looking for a playful and soft ski, that'll work great for mainly on-piste and off-piste (mostly powder), but also able to hit the park sometimes (around 95-110mm underfoot). Currently I've been skiing Armada ARV 86's and I mean I feel like they were doing just fine. Even though I'm pretty lightweight, I could somewhat butter them, although the skis not really having any rocker/being that soft. But I just wanted to kinda switch it up and transfer to that softer type of ski, that's fun and easy to butter and works just fine in powder (I mean the arv 86's, which are basically park skis aren't the most fun to ski on in powder - I've skied more rockered skis before them so I did feel a difference)
I've read a bunch of threads on ns and collected some ideas.
For now, I was most interested the in Line Sir Francis Bacon 2019/20's as they're soft and seem to be kinda floaty in pow, but also have a playful feel and short radius.
Other skis I had in mind were:
- J Skis the vacation (or allplay)
- On3p Kartel/Jeffrey's or Magnus
- Vishnu wide+ or normal Vishnu wides
- Faction Prodigy 3.0 (heard a lot of good and bad about these, but also are rather stiff like the on3p's, with less rocker though)
Honestly it's kind of hard for me to choose, as I'm quite unsure, which ski would be the one, that fits to my profile
(also I live in the middle of Austria if that helps)
