K2 Reckoner 102

Anyone gotten a chance to ride these yet? Looks really REALLY promising for a park ski. The reviews I've seen say this ski is super soft and light which is unusual for a K2. However they also seem to have the K2 durability we like. I've seen a couple of K2's team guys using these in comps and stuff already too. What do y'all think? Anyone have a chance to ride these yet?

Mount point on the K2 102's lets you know they are thinking park imho

They're extremely fun skis if you're looking for something more playful rather than super stable.

The ski they keep reminding me of is the current Line SFB, which I'd say ^that about as well. Very easy to bend and butter, super light in the air, still carve really well, pretty easy to throw sideways. They can definitely fold up or wash out if you try to ski them super far forward or land super backseat, and the low weight means they get knocked around fairly easily if you're skiing real fast in shitty snow. But, like the SFB, I think K2 totally nailed the flex of the Reckoner 102 in terms of matching it with its construction — while it's very far from a charger or super solid park ski, I found myself able to ski significantly faster on it than I would've guessed.

Yeah definitely

It isn't as soft as the typical rail rat skis that make the rounds (Blends/Chronics/Vishnu etc) but its definitely in that direction for K2. Far reach from the Poacher/Sight. If you want K2 durability it would be your best bet

Our buy Luke just posted a nice article + HUGE deep dive on theese over at blister.

Still wanna see the vs revolt 104 though ;)

Also you need a Bob like skiessentials has, thats 6'2-6'3 and 215-220lbs,. I find a lot of this, skis wayyyy different for me, but I do like the fact that you actually comment on it.

Was really hoping they were going to bring back the 191cm length from shreditor days on the new 102, guess I'll keep looking for an old pair

I feel you, its like they only make skis for children, at 190cm... I want the 191... not the 184 usually... revolt 104 you get 188 at least.

K2 184 runs more like 187, at least my old Marksmans do. Old shreditor 191 were like 193. So sick to have that length in a soft jibby ski. I’m 6’3” and like riding longer skis than I need which probably isn’t a huge segment in the market lol
anders_aI feel you, its like they only make skis for children, at 190cm... I want the 191... not the 184 usually... revolt 104 you get 188 at least.

K2's sizing is allot more accurate than it used to be. The old skis were so long compared to the published size. To add to that, the more rocker a ski had, the longer it would be. For example,189 Hellbents were around 200cm stand height! Pretty Sick and crazy to think bout.

K2 has updated their way to measure ski length so it is usually spot on for wall stand height now. I know for a fact that Reckoners are almost an exact match for wall stand height.

Good to know, newest pair I have are the original marksmans (2017?). Even more reason they should have done a 191 reckoner though, if the 184 measures true

Hey everyone. I have been able to ski these for a bit, not just the Reckoner 102 but also the 112 and the 122. My overall roundup for the 102 is that it's the best "turn the whole mountain into a park" ski that i've been on in a while. Yes it's not as soft as some of the true, new park skis. Also yes, it's not as sturdy as some of the true all mountain skis like the K2 Mindbender. It's really perfect for that throw in your car, bring to the mountain on any day and have a damn good time.

In regards to mount point...we made sure to mark a "traditional" and "team" mark on the skis. I've heard more people using the forward/team mark and then some people like myself, who grew up on center mounted park skis, have been mounting these at -2cm from center.

Everyone I've been talking to has been having an equally good time on these skis at their chosen mount point so that makes me think that this ski has a decent size sweet spot depending on what you're personally use to.
