eheathYes, I imagine a ski contest is going to be pretty easy to avoid contact with other humans.
HedgehogSteezeTrue I do wonder if they will still let people watch xgames... can't imagine a xgames big air comp without the fans atmosphere would suck.

lloyd_brauni watched practice with no spectators. (my son was the halfpipe forerunner) it's just as amazing to watch alone. fyi
HedgehogSteezeYea it’s jus like when I compete at like nor am type events part of my energy comes from spectators...I feel like that some of the really big events with like on site spectators the competitors really feed of the crowd and I agree it would still be amazing to watch just kinda eery
eheathMost competitors are playing music as loud as possible in their ears, they can't hear shit, no crowd will likely have a very small effect on skiing competitions imo.
DeebieSkeebiesSeems like some teams/programs in the US are getting their summer training programs unrolled with proper restrictions and guidelines to follow along with it. Kids are eager to ski and compete again but yeah, thats all dependent on what the resorts do and what the governing bodies come up with...I can easily see a shortened comp season which could make it easier for a lot of people to qualify for stuff. Social distancing is not an issue with skiing, maybe at the start and finish gates, on the chair, etc., but the amount of gear skiers wear I think their odds of staying safe are pretty good. But yeah, gotta wait and see what the 2nd wave does....if its bad then probably not a whole lot of competition skiing going on if resorts are gonna be running at half-speed or not at all.... Also currently as of right now, some places with ski resorts near them may put down their own travel restrictions and ask non-local residents to stay away in case of the 2nd wave being bad which means not a whole lot of travelling around...Just gotta wait and see where the cards fall
